I have nothing but respect for the North Dakota State program. During their last year in D-II they beat the Big Sky champ During their first transitional year they went all the way down to Louisiana and manhandled the Southland champ. It would've been interesting to see if Appalachian State would've won the national titles in 2006 and 2007 had North Dakota State been eligible for the playoffs durng those years.

Then last year they lost to eventual national champ Eastern Washington in the semifinals in overtime on the road when they fumbled at the Eastern Washington goal line.

There's also that thing about 5 D-II national championshps and 7 appearances in the D-II championship game.

It's been and continues to be an excellent program.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Agreed. I think anyone that knows FCS football respects the NDSU program. That said, they have some over the top fans. All schools do, but it seems they have a few that are more so than most.

'Nuff said.

I think the prospects are good they will establish a strong winning tradition over time, but could they win at least one big ball game first before the strut?

This is very true, & it's not just JBB & lakes. If you ever happened meander over to Bville, there are more where they come from. But certainly they are not in the majority of the fanbase.

NDSU fans do make things interesting and provide things to talk about though, mostly about being anti-sioux or crazy dreams of "belonging in the FBS"

Well it seems one Georgia State fan has taken it to another level. This is truly high comedy. This is in the same atmosphere of 6.93.
The following was taken from panthertalk.com and discussed (laughed at) at MonarchNation.com.
We need to announce FBS intentions. With conference realignment moving at the speed of light, and with FBS conferences like MAC eating our lunch in recruiting, the benefits of keeping a low profile are being overwhelmed by the disadvantages of not operating at the natural level of our school/program.

...and no, I don't care that we just lost- it doesn't matter. We are not operating at our natural level, and therefore results will not reflect our correct position.

Natural Level???? :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

Their "natural level"? LOL. This is a team that has a very ghetto practice facility and rents their stadium. State is playing at a DII team. That's very Savannah State-ish.

Georgia State fans are even more delusional than we originally thought....
why should we bother to go into the CAA?

I think we should strike for a move straight for the Big East!
