The Gophers have struggled especially on pass defense. They give up 300 yds/game. Against Miami Ohio they gave up 325 and a TD. They arent able to keep up on offense either with around 160 yds/game.

The BISON on the other hand have shown strength in the passing game. The BISON have been putting up 198 yds/game, scoring long, scoring short, good completion average, keeping drives alive with a 43% third down conversion and scoring 2 TDs/game. They have a very good .12 pt/yd showing us a very efficient offense that is scoring on the big play and/or getting the short field. For the BISON its been the big play and defensive scores.

The NDSU defense has been very good too. They have held decent FCS passing teams to an average of 130 yds/game and 1 TD.

The BISON receivers may be young but Holloway is there with his hands and his speed.

It looks to me, even after factoring in the competition level, that the BISON can get their day in the passing game. Give Minnesota its due as well, they can have their day.

Advantage: NDSU BISON
The bison have played two high school teams. The gophers have played two FBS teams. Comparing any statistics between the two teams is comical.
St. Francis (PA) has the #16 offense in the FCS scoring 50 in a win against Moorhead State last week.

As far as I can tell Montana isnt even in the top 50 total offense!

Well that's convincing. They beat a Pioneer team 50-49. Funny how you didn't mention St Francis' stout defense.

Unless youre the BISON its kind of tough to stop Moorhead State. They have the #1 FCS offense in the nation.

NDSU has the #2 ranked defense in the nation based on yds/play. :thumb:

Looking at total offense I didnt see one Delaware team higher than NDSU much less St. Francis (PA)!

The stats are there for you to read as well. Next week they might be different. I dont see Montana leading any stats. I see St. Francis, I see NDSU, I see a lot of teams, but if you are going to criticize NDSUs schedule first take in the facts: NDSU beat 2 winning teams with strong football traditions. Beat a #16 ranked offense and has established itself as one of the nations best FCS teams. #6 is the highest ranking they have in respected national polls I do believe.

You don't even believe your own shit anymore, JaBBer. You know damed WELL the stats will look considerably different next week...and continually bragging up your previous two opponents doesn't help your case, it just makes you sound desperate for attention and respect. Montana won't lead any stats because they've played three real teams. NDSU has played two scrimmages.

That's what it is, he wants attention. His mother didn't breast feed him and his father didn't beat him enough. It's a sad and pathetic story.

No, wait...it's a funny and pathetic story.

I think what you mean is that continually downplaying the NDSU opponents wont help your case. Arent you the analyst that said NDSU played 2 high school teams yet 1 of them has the #16 offense in the nation and the #2 defense, The NDSU BISON, held them the 3 pts.

Our last two opponents may not have been defending national champions, but neither of our opponenets are 0-3 either. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander. If you decide to run NDSU opponents down, I will point out why you are wrong.

As long as these idiots keep showing off I guess it will be limited Lakes. We have NDSU fans coming in acting the same way. They are no better.

So far I have covered the running and passing games from the perspective of both offense and defense.

Right now passing game is NDSUs. Running game is even with a slight edge to NDSU because of the quality running backs.

QB is a worry. The BISON have to stop Gray or make up for his production in other ways. If NDSU gets its own running game going Gray will be somewhat neutralized even if he has a big day.

Sallys is the kind of information this thread is supposed to be collecting. Sallys is going to be a pre/post game hot spot. Critical for BISON fans to gather and Sallys is a great spot. Lakes went to the trouble of organizing it and he has every right to publicize it here. I encourage a lot of BISON fans to congregate there. Far more right to talk about Sallys that bringing nothing but insults and immaturity to a thread about the BISON @ Gophers.

Most of these guys dont know a thing about competing in the BCS, much less FBS. Their teams go out, lose a big FBS game, if its close they brag about how good they are and get moved up.

NDSU on the other hand has always had a desire to compete. We got the "keep it within 3 or 4 scores to call it a moral victory" out of our systems in the 30s & 40s.

I would expect fans starting to move toward the City starting Thursday. Friday will be a big night and traffic will be heavy on Saturday as the NDSU Legions make their way to TCF Bank Stadium. Kickoff at 6 PM. Big Ten TV.

GO BISON!!!!

Does NDSU have a long term contract with Minnesota (like a every other year or every 2 year thing)? Is NDSU going to try going after other Big 10 regional schools like Nebraska, Iowa, or Wisconsin? Or just stick with Minny.
