hence the temporarily. We don't know how good JMU is either. Liberty has been competitive in a lot of games but as someone said, they have a hard time delivering. Until they do so (in other words win the big south outright) I'm holding out on believing in their realness.BDKJMU wrote:I wouldn't. That is a good team. Winning the Big South out-right is no reason to consider Liberty some great team. Especially this yr. Big South sucks.youngterrier wrote:hence the temporarily. We don't know how good JMU is either. Re: JMU @ Liberty - Game Discussion Thread
it's a start, seeing as Liberty was unable to it last year when it counted. The Big South may be a smidge better than it has been too from what I've seen (of course that was before SB and CSU lost today)kuntryboimike wrote:Winning the Big South out-right is no reason to consider Liberty some great team. We'll see. SBU will be good, they seem to purposefully tank OOC every year and prep for conference season. CCU will be good. If we win the Big South, we will have earned it.
I saw glimpses of the team we have been for the past couple years against JMU, tho. And that concerns me. There's no room for the mistakes and poor execution in the Big South this year.

Re: JMU @ Liberty - Game Discussion Thread
Oops, I didn't know that Liberty had at Lehigh next week. Lehigh, who was the pre season pick to win the Patriot, lost to UNH in OT- should have beaten them in regulation as they missed 2 PATs. That will be a tough game for Liberty on the road after such a huge emotional loss to JMU. Not sure how Liberty will respond. Regardless, I expect Liberty (again if Brown stays healthy) to win the Big South.BDKJMU wrote:I wouldn't. That is a good team. Re: JMU @ Liberty - Game Discussion Thread
MM is right about not scheduling Liberty anymore after this series ends. LU has gotten too good. JMU can't afford 2 OOC losses because the CAA (usually) is just brutal. W&M & UR schedule VMI, who is usually at or near the bottom of the Big South. That's what JMU needs to do, or schedule another weaker Big South, NEC, or Patriot team.

And NOWWW Asa Chapman is back on the team.......3 games later.......Liberty might be looking at a different record if he had never gotten into trouble in the first place. Apparently he's been jumping through hoops to get back on the field and has grown up all of a sudden.

So the charges were dropped I assume? I can't imagine LU would let him back on the team with charges pending.....
Yeah, JMU had their get 4 get arrested & charged with felonies last Dec. One, a would have been 3 year rSr starter at safety, later got a drunk in public and Mickey kicked him off the team. The other 3 had to go 9 months suspended from the team indefinitely until the case wound its way slowly through the justice system, and the charges were eventually dropped about a week & a half ago, and only them were they reinstated.
