Their OOC consists of Patriot cellar-dweller Lafayette, NEC cupcake St. Francis, and a perennial FBS midget in Minnesota. Plus they play in the MVFC, a weak conference by nature. Discuss.

The genius in the scheduling is the bye week BEFORE Minnesota because it gives them an extra week to "recover" after the St. Francis game and prepare for the Gophers.

Just replace a Southern Illinois or a Youngstown St with South Dakota and replace St. Francis with Western Carolina and you got NDSU's 2012 schedule. According to Sagarin's rankings NDSU schedule is ranked 233 in all of DI only Eastern Michigan and Ark-Pine Bluff is worse.

Really!? That's fucking hilarious. I was just trying to get under our resident tards' skin more than I already do, but that's icing on the cake!

Yeah...let's see what that looks like at the end of the season. The schedule strength is calculated based on the teams that we've played to date.
Toughest schedule acording to Sagarin right now = Northwestern State
9/1/2011 Delta State
9/10/2011 LSU
9/17/2011 SMU
9/24/2011 Nicholls
10/1/2011 McNeese State
10/8/2011 Lamar
10/15/2011 Southeastern Louisiana
10/29/2011 Texas State
11/5/2011 Central Arkansas
11/12/2011 Sam Houston State
11/19/2011 Stephen F. Austin
Man those SEC schools have nothing on this beast of a schedule!

Well, considering the level of football played by Northwestern State, they may be right.
It's all relative, you know?
"Ah fuck. You are right." KYJelly, 11/6/12
"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam." Barack Obama, 9/25/12
NDSU took the conference that accepted them, the Big Sky turned them down because they were too good at the time (That was from a Big Sky School Offical that was involved in the decision). Ever since NDSU joined the MVFC, they have been playing down to the weak conference. Youngstown St, a great football tradition has been doing the same. MVFC, a conference that is won annually by FCS bridesmaids.

Utah State has nothing on Illinois State...their OOC consists of the Normal Junior High Special Ed Class....and the Illinois School of the Deaf, Dumb, and Blind.

Definitely not the most glamorous schedule, but substitute #2( at the time) Georgia Southern for St. Francis and you have a totally different schedule. It's not our AD's fault that Ga Southern abandoned the game. He had to quickly find a replacement for that date. I wish we got tested before the Gopher game but that's just how it is.
I'm still interested in the Minnesota game, I think they are better than 0-2 and yes I know they lost to NMSU at home They also lost to USC by only 2 in the Coliseum. It should be a close game and I can't wait to be there!
For the strength of the Herd is the Bison and the strength of the Bison is the HERD
GO BISON!

umm thats because it goes by current games played. so obv it;s low since we've only played SFU and Lafayette. good work there. cant wait til und plays black hills state that should be a barn burner. dont forget we had Georgia Southern scheduled and we had to get St. Francis at the last second. Plus we play in the MVFC so obviously were not gonna stack every OOC game. enough said

I'd say any team with USD on the schedule.
Wrong. USD > NDSU in 2011.
That might depend on which USD one is speaking of.
Or maybe not.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
So all the Bison fans are blaming Georgia Southern for backing out on their piss poor schedule. What was the excuse last year with Morgan State? Or in '09 with Wager? '08 with Austin Peay and Central Conn St? I can understand 1 cupcake for OOC after transition but two? Too bad Wagner counted as 1 of your 3 wins that year.

zero just like South Dakota State and yet they were the first Dakota team to go to the playoffs. So what does that prove. Just that you guys can beat a 2-10 FBS team...

Also can beat a Montana team in the playoffs
But fumble on the goal line with a playoff win in sight. Was Earnest Byner playing for NDSU on that day?
