Liberty is currently installing a 60-yd video ribbon board on the front facing of the upper deck. It is the first of its kind in FCS. When we do our expansion with an upper deck on the opposite side of the field, we will be putting another one over there.
This will be ready to go for Saturday's game against JMU
I could be wrong but from what I understand either after this season is over or after next season is over. And we'll end up with a total of 30,000 seats. I can't wait!

Classic.
Anyway, very nice. Not football related but ODU is gonna do the same thing with the Ted Center where ODU plays their basketball games. And will put in a new scoreboard as well. Its been reported the ribbon will be where the lower bowl meets the luxury suites.

That's gonna be one helluva collection once they get done passing the plates.
It will be paid in cash. LU Online has been unbelievable to our bottom line. The only thing standing in the way of the next phase is a demonstration that it is needed.

TXST ribbon board testing last Friday during SMHS game. They will add another to the new north end expansion when it is completed.

I guess it'll make the fan experience a little better.........
What are you even talking about? Why would we not continue to make facility improvements if we can? It can only help when it comes to recruiting and excitement from the crowd. And yes with all of our facility upgrades we definitely plan on staying in the Big South and playing teams like VMI for a long time
If you don't think its newsworthy you don't have to comment. There's plenty of other topics that make this forum that I would consider a lot less newsworthy than this one.
Sounds to me like you're just whining. Perhaps you're jealous.

I didn't know about that. I took that quote from our AD. How big is your board? Is it just a scoreboard?

Don't know exactly how big it is. Haven't been to SM since baseball season and it was put in about 6 weeks ago. It is the width of the SEZ complex field entrance/exit. (haven't had a home game yet) and I don't know what they will be having on there until we do have a game (this week).
It was added to compliment the 2 new video boards (on either side of the SEZ) that they added after tearing down the one we had on the north end....for the construction.

I was commenting more on that both have them as opposed to the length. BCS is in a state of upgrade, and will be for several years. They can't add them along the sides because of that, until all the upgrades are done.
(I think it's actually about 100 feet, so 33 yds, but I'll find out for sure on Saturday)

I assume you're talking about the Liberty board. Only about 1/3 of it is up at the time of those pictures yesterday. I'm sure more pictures will be posted today and later in the week when the entire thing is up. It will be 60 yards. In the 2nd picture I posted, you can see black brackets extending a long the front facade of the upper deck as far to the left and to the right as the picture goes.
