How in the hell did Hampton-ODU get 4 votes.
There's ZERO credible arguement for that being national game of the week...

This. EWU @ Montana was my vote as well. With both WSU and Sac coming off terrible games, it could lead to a good watch as well.mlbowl wrote:I voted for EWU vs. Montana but Sac St @ Weber should be another good one.

You people from outside of Delaware obviously didn't get the message yet. The News Journal will eventually get someone's attention.
The University of Delaware/Delaware State University is THE Game of the Week.
Cripes, it's got two teams whose campuses are less than 50 miles apart. It's got two teams that are...uh, they share some of the same name. It has two fans bases that are...ummm, rooting for their team. And it has two adminstrations that want...well...a rivalry that will grow to be...oh, big. Yeah, big.
In addition, most of the the state of Delaware really cares about this...uh...rivalry...because it pits two teams that are...ummmm, 50 miles apart. That's slightly less than a world apart.
Care. Care a lot.

Why not. The game matches two 2-0 teams, there's only eight 2-0 teams left. They can see each other stadium's lights from their stadium. One team is putting the second longest win streak on the line, the other just busted another team's win streak. Both teams receiving votes and have something to prove. Sold-out game on TV, tailgating with crabcakes and frozen margaritas, game being played under the lights, two marching bands, great weather, sounds like the 1-AA game of the week to me in the 757.89Hen wrote:We have a couple ODU posters here. Plus we need a little momentum before starting CAA play and taking our lumps.

So if we lose one game, on the road to UD....we have no chance to win the caa? Are you saying you plan on UD going undefeated?
That's some interesting logic you have there. And for the record....I don't think odu is going to win the caa ha.....I just don't think a loss in game 1 of our first year in the caa....on the road, against a top 5 team in fcs....is going to end all hope for us having a good season. Call me crazy!

The "ha" in your post indicates that you recognize that humor can exist in some form. However, you are 81 posts into this thing and you haven't found the sarcasm meter.

It's not game of the week material if one team has the potential to beat the other by 30 or more, guys.

Re: I-AA Game of the Week - WEEK THREE
I already had Eastern Washington at the bottom of my top 25 in the poll - they were my only 0-2 team and that was giving them credit for being the NC last year. No way should a 0-3 team be in any poll, anywhere, any time. I think the Montana game may decide the whole season for EWU.

It was sarcasm, but the schools are in fact 50 miles apart. People tend to forget that while Delaware is only 15 minutes across, it's two hours top to bottom.89Hen wrote:I think UD/DSU might be closer than UM/EWU.Cap'n Cat wrote:It's not game of the week material if one team has the potential to beat the other by 30 or more, guys.

I guess what I'm really trying to say is that the area of Delaware is 30 square minutes.
