Cal Poly @ Montana Game Thread

Offense looked flat to me in the 1st half, but the Griz proved once again they are a 2nd half team and the offense came alive for once. This was a very encouraging game for the rest of the season. JJ needs to work on his throwing ability a bit imo, but he had some good scrambles.

I thought he looked pretty good throwing the ball in the second half.

1st half:

CP 211 Yards of offense, 19:15 TOP, 17 points
MT 83 yards of offense, 10:45 TOP, 14 points (but no sustained drives)

2nd half:

CP 121 yards of offense, 14:12 TOP, 6 points
MT 273 yards of offense, 15:48 TOP, 23 points

Huge roughing the passer penalty on Cal Poly in the 4th quarter. If not for the penalty Cal Poly gets the ball back down by 6. Instead the Griz get the automatic 1rst down and go on to score on that drive to go up by 14. They also ate up the clock and only left 5 minutes on the clock.

Great second half by the Griz. Poly fans about to throw in the towel, but they do not realize how tough it is to win in Missoula against a tough Montana team.

Best of luck the rest of the season. Maybe we will see you again in December.

Similar to the roughing the kicker penalty on CP's first drive after we had them stopped. They then marched right down the field and scored....I thought we were in for a replay of the Tennessee game...
