Let me just say Gil, you bragging about where NDSU has played in the last decade is pretty sad. I think deep down you must know just how depressing the Fargo Dome is.

Also why does it matter where ODU has played in only 8 road games in little over 2 years? They could play in a frickin' parking lot for all I care as long as they continue to win. They'll be in the CAA so they'll be playing in some pretty good stadiums...JMU (home of the 2004 national champions), Villanova (home of the 2009 national champions), Richmond (home of the 2008 national champions), Delaware (home of the 2003 national champions, 6x national champions), and William (national semifinalist a couple years ago).

I'll also just throw in that ODU has some of the nicest athletic facilities in the country. :thumb:

So you state how bad the Fargodome is, and then follow it with ODU could play in a parkign lot as long as they continue to win.

I'm sure you have never sat in weather in the teens with a 30 mile an hour wind in your face, otherwise you would understand the Fargodome. It's not a matter of having an outdoor stadium, it's the weather. Sure NDSU had large crowds at old Dakotah field (Home of 8 National Champsionships), but not when it was cold and windy. Sure the young students can handle that weather, but people like my parents, in their mid 70's would not have season tickets sitting in that weather. It's fun to attend a game with them, visit before and after, as we live 6 hours apart.

The parking lot reference was to make a point that I'm not gonna brag about where ODU goes to play opponent's on the road....quite honestly who cares? So what if NDSU went to go play at Montana a couple years ago. ODU in the very near future might go to play Montana and Montana might come to Norfolk. Anyway you do make a valid point about the ND weather during the winter.

Let's check the schedules and make it happen. I love playing teams from other regions. Let's home and home it up!

I'd love to see this happen! Just like I wish Ga. Southern didn't back out on our game for last week. I want NDSU to play more CAA/SoCon teams. I get tired of these cupcakes :ohno:

As well you should. After two games you still know virtually NOTHING about your team heading into a game against an FBS opponent.

Exactly. The only benefit it gives us is two easy D1 wins that count toward the playoffs. I'm glad we have monatana and montana state on the OOC schedule in the next few years. Those kind of games bring excitement and anticipation. I hope we continue to schedule fcs powers from power conferences. It can only help a program, win or lose.

I would say it couldn't be any worse... Jensen to Holloway has become a very effective connection. But other than that are passing game still lacks, even against lesser opponents :?

I hope we figure something out in the next two weeks. I'm interested in seeing how the gophs will respond after Kill's collapse on the field last week.

I agree with this comment. Other than getting nothing much more than a couple of scrimmage games we don't really know how this team will respond when tested against a good opponent. Ga. Southern would have been a great game to watch. Hopefully in the coming years our OOC schedule improves. On the other hand all our AD can do is to try to get these better teams here but if they back out not much he can do about that except to make the buyout to high in the contract so they won't or can't back out.

Two things about this comment. First I still think Brock telegraphs his passes way to much and I also think he doesn't checkoff and forces things to Holloway. How much of that is because of them being roomates and good friends???? I have no problem with him throwing to Holloway if he's open but he needs to utilize the other recievers or backs out of the backfield IMHO.

Like I already said, I'd like to see a NDSU-ODU match-up but the Bison might have to come to Norfolk because I think Wilder and the rest of the coaching and administrative staff are unwilling to schedule a home-and-home with another quality FCS opponent. The staff is set and locked in on getting 6 homes games each and every year. He said that in a press conference/interview last week when asked the question about the possibility of scheduling Montana since it has been rumored they have talked to Montana.

I'd like to see it to but by the same standard there is no way NDSU would agree to a one and done on the road for OOC game unless it's a FBS money game for 300k or more. But as fans we can wish it would happen but until the AD's get together and work out a deal its just a fans wish. The GSU matchup this year would have been a good one and the dome would have been sold out filled to the rafters. Oh well.
