2nd of all, POTUSes generally don't call for joint sessions of congress unless its a SOTU, for a very important visiting head of state, or in time of war. Obama is calling for a joint session of Congress to give a campaign speech.
Obama is reportedly going to call for 400 billion in increased deficit spending on the same day the the Super Committee has to have their 1st meeting about cutting 1.2 trillion.
I'm glad a lot of Republicans have said they don't plan on attending what is going to amount to no more than a campaign speech. The time for speeches is over. Speeches don't do jack squat to fix a problem.
