Not according to the playoff committee.

They said last year that FBS wins help you... but, losses do not hurt you.

Noted and filed.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

That was a SoCon championship team that got destroyed by Florida. The difference between our level and their level is just that great. You'll find out when you play Alabama. Virginia Tech could have beaten us as bad as they wanted to, Florida could have last year, LSU could have in 2008.

The final score in all those games is simply a reflection of when the other team decides to call off the dogs.

Bama might not beat y'all by 50. But, if they want to... they can and will.
I don't think Tennessee called the dogs off until about 6(?) min left in the 4th. They called a time out and went for it on 4th and 1 on the 1 and didn't get in. I won't give you any excuses as to why we got beat like we did, but we sure as hell didn't roll over and they had to play hard until the end. With my travel to and from the game, I was not able to catch any of the other games to give any opinion on them though. :twocents:
Sometimes, "calling off the dogs" and "taking advantage of game situations" can be blurred. Most coaches will tell you that you can't simulate game situations in practice so, if the opportunity arises during a blowout, most will try it to get it on film. We jumped on Southern Oregon early and then the rest of the game, we worked on situations (and of course gave opportunities for those further down on the depth charts). Even with the lead, we did not play third and fourth string until well into the fourth quarter.

Maybe if you're only playing one FBS game. Those of us who play two and sometimes three FBS games, the losses mount up. You play three FBS games, lose all of them by combined 10 points, and stub your toe in one of your conference games, there is a good chance you're not going to the playoffs.

Unlike GSU circa two games ago, Navy played mistake-free offense. If they continue to play like that, they will win a lot of games this year.

UD should be fine. The USNA game is not always an indicator of how well the Hens will do in a given season. The '95 UD team suffered a worse defeat and was one play from an NC appearance.
