I just don't know how SDSU will be after losing Minett. They were so-so last year and I think they will be a .500 team again this year. I think Sorenson will lead the T-birds past the Jacks in a close one.

My ISUr thoughts from another thread after last night:
Illinois State...like many I had/have high expectations for them this year. I thought/think they could challenge for a playoff spot due to their offense and if they could have found any sort of defense. I didn't think EIU was going to be good this year (I have them bottom half of the OVC) and with just watching that full game and not yet looking at the stats I have no confidence in that ISUr defense. EIU had to be close to, if not over, 300 yards passing and their WR were wide open on every single pass play that the QB had time to throw. EIU's offensive line looked pretty bad so the ISU pass rush got there at times but....wow. On the flip side ISU's offense looked about what I expected. Run game didn't blow me away...in fact outside of three big plays that run game was very unimpressive. The passing game looked good, as expected with Brown at QB. However, with that said EIU's defense shouldn't be that good this year. Oh....and EIU came away with the win.

ISU was weak. WIU was worse. Patty Viverito is probably disappointed right now.
Obviously YSU didn't do anything--they are picked to finish 8th in their conference and were getting blown out by half-time 14-6 against a weak 17th ranked FBS team that the Citadel would probably blow off the field!
