What does this have to do with the FCS??
The FCS does not operate in a vacuum. Any conference changes at the FBS level may trickle down to impact Big Sky, CAA, teams, and so forth. A lot of people have speculated that there is one major domino that needs to fall and there will be super-conferences forcing a separation between "haves" and "have nots". It deals with television revenue and multimedia rights. Everyone is scrambling to better position themselves before conference realignment.

Yeah, just like the last round of major conference reclassification? :coffee:

The BSC, CAA & other FCS conferences are so far removed from the possible/potential moves of the SEC that it makes little sense to waste time on it. In any case, there's no point in posting endless speculation on an FCS message board about what maybe/might happen if a tree falls in the forest 4 states away.

I prefer BCS conjecture to the written drivel that JBB has littered throughout most of the discussions.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I hate to share "insider knowledge" without quoting anyone on a message board, but I have some insights worth noting on this topic.

It sounds like Pac-12 ADs were sent information from the conference commissioner last week inquiring about adding Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the Pac. From what I hear, this possibility was kept open following the Big 12's last big exodus last year. The Oklahoma schools were highly concerned that Texas would dominate revenues from the "new" conference and that the commissioner would bow to all of Texas' demands to keep the conference together (and that is exactly what has happened). No one from the Pac12 said they'd block admission for Oklahoma or Oklahoma State--- although I'm not 100% certan they meet the academic criteria which the Pac-12 will not budge on.

Understanding this, and assuming the next wave of exodus happens with A&M out to the SEC and the OK schools to the Pac, that would literally leave Texas and the 6 dwarfs left in the Big 12. They would probably make a move on SMU, BYU, and possibly Houston... and it might make sense to approach TCU as the Big East is a bad fit for them. None of those schools meets the academic criteria for Pac-12 admission, so they wouldn't be considered targets (BYU is the closest and would only have to add a couple of programs to be in compliance).
