If he was that smart he would keep his early season poll to himself. Releasing a pre season ranking with no datafor this season that he admits is invalid then tarnishes his late season rankings which, with a few exceptions, I think aren't bad.

You're not making any sense. Sagarin explains all this at the top of the page. You're ignoring what he has written instead of ignoring his preseason rankings like you should.

Exactly right, Curiosity at best. Watch it as the season goes on. After five games it will make a little more sense.

My objection to Sagarin: Even if you lose you can gain a lot if your opponent is good. A bad team can get an easy over ranking with a half assed game against a good team.

Ill say this about Sagarin: the closer to the top you get the more accurate he is. He also offers a reliable score predictor on most games. I think its a solid top 10 ranking system, at least by seasons end.
