The assertion that people can't permanently live on welfare is a myth. I've met many, many welfare cheats. As an example, there's an apartment complex across from my office which has OVER 40% Section 8 funded occupancy. Many of the tenants have been there for over ten years. They migrate out of the apartment twice a month when their food stamps and cash assistance arrives, get high, party, then sit on their ass for another two weeks. They are not "homeless", merely lazy pieces of shit more motivated to get high and sit on their ass than use their minds and body to make a living (God forbid, be motivated to help society or their neighbors.)

...NONE of my tenants are Section 8 subsidized, nor would I rent to anyone who relies on Section 8 housing assistance.

Having said that, where Douchebag hits the nail on the head is in identifying the REAL beneficiaries of that assistance.

We have a program in town that provides section 8 housing to victims of domestic violence and they work their asses off trying to make a better life for themselve and their children, without the help of a father. I know of other programs for the elderly, mentally ill, VETERANS and just plain poor who need a temporary hand up.

As a christian you should support these opportunities. As a thinking man, you should understand that not everyone is created equal and we're always going to have an underclass and we have to treat them decently.

2) Fat ex-Princesses who sat around watching Disney flicks during their childhood...expecting Prince Charming to come along and take care of them, then after their 3rd bastard-child, realized they'd been duped...have no education...look like tub-o'lard and will never meet Prince Charming.
