Mark: Being governor of the largest state in the union (in terms of land area) hardly qualifies as "inexperience" compared to someone who had nothing other than a couple of years in the Senate. At least early on, everything was handed to President Obama on a silver platter (like that bogus Nobel Prize). He hasn't done anything of note since other than screw over the American people. Sarah at least protected the people of Alaska from the evil greedy folk at Big Oil (especially Exxon).

In addition, it used to be common practice to resign one's position to focus on a campaign so that the business of government could continue. It was only when Sarah did it that people started crying "Quitter!" Double standard....

(No, I'm not putting clenz in that category. He has an opinion and he defends it, but he by no means is trollish about it.)
The simple fact is is that Palin is so hated by the libs, and the vast majority of Repubs, that even without ANY negative press between now and election day, she still would lose to "the other guy", no matter who the other guy was (historical "bad guy terrorists" excluded). We all know how much "positive" attention she'd get from the press and interwebs as well.

Palin brings zero to the table, less than Obama....okay maybe the same amount, but not more. Palin is more polarizing that Obama, even within the Republican and Tea parties.

Palin won't happen, Bachman won't happen, given Perry's recent press, he likely won't happen either.

At this point unless a great candidate comes up by January the Republican party is better off letting Obama continue to **** himself over (which sadly will hurt every American) and start to breed someone for 2016
You're wrong on that she's hated by the vast majority of the Repubs. A sizeable minority, but not a majority. 1st recent poll I came across that broke down Repulican views on her, CBS poll from June, so I'll take with a grain of salt:

".....Republicans are split on opinions of Palin overall: Thirty-seven percent have a favorable view, 36 percent have an unfavorable view, and 25 percent have no opinion."
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162- ... 03544.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And even among that 36% unfavorable not all of them would say they hate her.

Bottom line is here unfavorbles in the Republican party means she has slim to no chance of getting the nomination. So I agree she won't happen, and agree Bachman won't happen. I wouldn't say that about Perry though.

I'm willing Palin doesn't run because she has to know she'll have much more influence as a power broker.

Perry bears a striking facial resemblance to another famous Texan: Dan Rather.

But that's about all they have in common.

That's one of the dumbest sexist remarks ever. It used to be SOP for a candidate for higher office to resign his current one so he could focus on the campaign without being distracted by affairs of state. You guys know full well that were she running for President as the CURRENT governor of Alaska, you'd be among the first in line to accuse her of going U/A.

And it's just because she's a girl. It's a disgusting double-standard. You dumb-@$$ libs think you can have your cake and eat it, too. The world doesn't work like that, buster.

She might run. But houndawg is right, she's quitter who can't take the heat. She didn't step down to run for President, she stepped down because she was tired of having to defend herself against ethics charges. Even if the charges were false, the fact that she would rather quit than fight says a lot about her.

The only way I'd like to see Sarah run is if the GOP adds a swimsuit competition to their debates. I won't vote for her, but I'll watch. (I also suspect she'll make that Miss Teen South Carolina chick look pretty smart :lol: )

"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."
