The leftenant pwns just about EVERYBODY around here.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
Re: JaBBer and company greatest hits
I dont think D2 is relevant do you? If it is you have to say NDSU has 8 national championships. That's unequaled!
UNC can win all the games they want. They were a good team in the old D2 days but couldnt ever get past their big wins against NDSU. Just like UND, EWU and Montana...no wait...not Montana or Montana State, but the other two, are so proud of their victories over NDSU because they know Its the biggest win a school can have. Its so big that other fans from other schools will brag about it for them!
In the end you win some and lose some, but when it comes to D2 football the greatest dynasty to date is of course the NDSU BISON.
Now back to some JBB greatest hits from the 2003 season:

JBB wrote:The Golden Arm Award, Week 2:
Started by Shoutin’ Ed Schultz in the fall of 2002, the Golden Arm was originally intended to be an honor reserved for Craig Gorder of the NDSU BISON. It has now grown to far more than that. Eligible recipients now include Kelby Klosterman the QB and perennial Harlon Hill candidate for the defending national champion Division 2 University of North Dakota football team. Lets see who takes the honors this week:
Klosterman: 15-26-0 100 yds
Gorder: 14-40-0 120 yds
As Kelby Klosterman continues on his march to the Harlon Hill he again stumbled in his pursuit of the Prestigious Golden Arm award. This week the award is once again given to Craig Gorder, This is an unprecedented “2-in-a-row” for Gorder. Gorder out passed Klosterman against one of the nations great defenses and was clearly the better competitor in his effort, scoring the only NDSU touchdown on a 7 yard option run.
Klosterman was “on the money” all day, as evidenced by his better completion per-centage, but had one fumble and was unable to find any time to set up for his trademark “pin point” passes. His performance will not go unnoticed by the Harlon Hill committee but it was not enough to gain entrance into that exclusive group of Golden Arm quarterbacks.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Remember the stats that proved my memory wrong were posted between my comments. Nice try, but I was acknowledging the intrusion of the facts. They are one of the very few teams in the country to have a win in the Fabulous Fargo Dome.AZGrizFan wrote:JBB wrote:UNC was one of the worst teams in the NCC, clocking one or two good years total and beating the BISON maybe 5 times in their entire history. You are priceless. UND has 5 lower division games this season, or is it 4? Either way its not impressive considering one of the NAIA teams is 1-0 against them. It will be their biggest game and is being hyped as the "Dead in the Shed" bowl. That is if they are still in the NCAA!
Northern Colorado:
1990: 8-3 (1st round playoffs)
1991: 8-3 (1st round playoffs)
1992: 6-5
1993: 8-3
1994: 7-4
1995: 9-3 (1st round playoffs)
1996: 12-3 (D-II National Champs)
1997: 13-2 (D-II National Champs)
1998: 11-2 (2nd round playoffs)
1999: 11-2 (2nd round playoffs)
2000: 4-7
2001: 4-7
2002: 9-2 (3rd round playoffs)
2003: 9-2
So, in this 14 year span they had 8 playoff appearances, 2 national titles and went 119-48.
NDSU's 14-year stretch looks like the following:
1990: 14-0 (D-II National Champs)
1991: 7-3 (1st round playoffs)
1992: 10-2 (2nd round playoffs)
1993: 7-3
1994: 9-3 (2nd round playoffs)
1995: 10-3 (2nd round playoffs)
1996: 6-4
1997: 9-3 (1st round playoffs)
1998: 7-4
1999: 9-2
2000: 12-2 (3rd round playoffs)
2001: 7-3
2002: 2-8
2003: 8-3
So, in YOUR 14 year span prior to moving up you had 7 playoff appearances, 1 National Title (although none after 1990), and went 117-43. So you can continue to live in la-la land, or you can come into reality and admit that UNC actually OUTPERFORMED you prior to you both moving up.
I think I know which direction you'll go.

There are very few here who can compete with the Leftenant. And NONE of those who can are named JBB or are in any way affilliated with NDSU.grizzaholic wrote:AZ, if you continue to rip the tits off there will be none left for anyone else.AZGrizFan wrote:

Suddenly D2 is at the top of your list, the most important football played in the country!
NDSU has 8 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The bears are picked to finish 8 in the BSC. Their other "great" power you worship based on the criteria they have D2 wins over NDSU is UND. They are picked to finish last in the GWFC. Now the BSC has them. Great additions to the Big Sky!
The NDSU Envy on this board is hilarious!!!
More from the past:
The Golden Arm Award, Week 3:
Started by Shoutin’ Ed Schultz in the fall of 2002, the Golden Arm was originally intended to be an honor reserved for Craig Gorder of the NDSU BISON. It has now grown to far more than that. Eligible recipients now include Kelby Klosterman the QB and perennial Harlon Hill candidate for the defending national champion Division 2 University of North Dakota football team. Lets see who takes the honors this week:
Klosterman:
Passing Att-Cmp-Int Yds TD Long Sck
-------------------------------------------
KelbyKlosterman 23-12-1 138 1 31 1
Rushing No Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg
--------------------------------------------
KelbyKlosterman 16 137 13 124 0 26 7.8
Gorder:
Passing Att-Cmp-Int Yds TD Long Sck
-------------------------------------------
G. Gorder 33-20-0 247 1 52 2
Rushing No Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg
--------------------------------------------
G. Gorder 8 48 7 41 1 15 5.1
The excitement at the Golden Arm Offices was palatable as it became clear Craig Gorder was going to become the only 3 time winner in the history of this prestigious award. Perennial Harlon Hill Candidate Kelby Klosterman lead his team to victory but once again comes up short in his effort to win his first Prestigious Golden Arm award. Klosterman proved he can run the ball but his overall statistics, ability as a play maker and leader on the field were overshadowed by the Career Performance of Craig Gorder.
Gorder put on a show of guts and glory bringing a lethargic BISON squad to life in the second half. In a heartbreaking loss Gorder overcame a 10 pt half time deficit and then lead the team through 4 OTS. But out of the loss comes the knowledge that Gorder does have what it takes to be a champion and certainly his impressive statistics show he is the clear winner again this week.
Congratulations to Craig on his “3- pete” and good luck to both in next weeks head-to-head battle at the Fabulous Fargo Dome.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Every once in a while I need a break from JBB and company (aka the UNI conglomerate, EWU conglomerate, Montana conglomerate).
