not so sure Mark, have you checked out the stats concerning shifting of wealth lately, and more notably the deepening poverty of blacks in this country? I think what you see in London we will see in our major cities shortly. And if it spreads out of the cities into the rural country, we will have the start of a revolution.

The police in London are quite pathetic. According to one of my London friends, only a few thousand of the 30,000 London cops have riot training and they don't even carry guns.

I have quit a job and been fired, and thank GOD, I have gotten out there to find work and yes, have FOUND work. Been at my new job 15+ months and love it.

Work is out there, you just have to display a positive attitude, and go for it. Living with the attitude that medicaid is a get out of jail card doesn't work, living with the attitude that insurance pays 100% of everything doesn't work, living unemployed yet having enough money to pay your cell phone bill doesn't work, getting pregnant repeatedly, slapping medicaid on the kid as soon as it pops out of your pussy and never working doesn't work.

It's time people held themselves accountable instead of pissing and moaning about somebody else being rich. That spitball you threw at Joe Lyles in 6th grade is coming back to haunt you eh?

Well, if the whole world was Amish and we just farmed and that was it, sure, stopping or declining population growth would be a great idea. However, in the real world, where we have whole systems (like Social Security, Medicare, etc) setup that are based upon the younger generation being larger than the one that came before it, a "stop populating" policy would create plenty of havoc and hardship. I'd rather go with the idea that the more minds on the planet the better chances for some good ideas/technological breakthroughs and the like.

"Riots 'fightback' has begun, says British PM

British Prime Minister David Cameron said a "fightback" was under way Wednesday after four nights of violent riots, as he authorised police to use water cannon for the first time on the mainland.

After the worst riots in a generation spread to Manchester and three Asian men were hit and killed by a car while defending their community in Birmingham, Cameron said there was a "sickness" in British society.

He said London was quieter overnight after 16,000 police flooded the streets and vigilante groups protected stricken neighbourhoods from gangs who have burned down and raided dozens of shops and homes.

"We needed a fightback and a fightback is under way," Cameron told a news conference outside 10 Downing Street after the second meeting of Britain's COBRA security committee in as many days.

"We now have in place contingency plans for water cannon to be available at 24 hours' notice," Cameron said, adding that police had already been authorised to use plastic baton rounds against rioters.

I just don't see it happeneing on that scale. Tea Party people, for instance, are willing to talk the talk about getting our country out of the red as long as they don't have to sacrifice for it. Same concept, people might want to react and riot, but that requires effort. I don't think it will happen and if it does, our country won't let it go on for 4 days.

Funny, but the reason the whole thing kicked off was apparently because the shooting of some guy......who turned out to be a drug deal......and was armed.......and was warned.

The whole thing reminds me of the LA riots back in the 90's.
