Wasn't the last UM-NAU game in Flagstaff a complete barn burner?

Seat reduction may make tickets trickier to find for games like homecoming and parent's weekend but that's about it. Admittedly, the yellow bleacher seats were not the most comfortable in the world. Haven't seen the inside of the "new" dome firsthand but pictures look good. It was time for a makeover.
Yes, the Cardinals have held camp up @ NAU since (pretty sure) their arrival in Arizona. It's been rated as one of the better settings for training camps.

Espn.com did a ranking last year. Can't remember if it was the players, coaches, media or combination of all voting Flagstaff/NAU received high marks. The Cardinals organization seem happy with the set up.

Two years in a row....two losses on pretty much the last play of the game. Is there a "smilie"/avatar representing newly developed nervous tics? Four of the last five Griz-Jacks games have been competitive and fun to watch. I don't think the streak will be broken this year but you never know?AZGrizFan wrote:Last several have all been Griz wins, but the scores were usually close:SDHornet wrote:Wasn't the last UM-NAU game in Flagstaff a complete barn burner?

Yep. Montana always seems to play down to NAU's level of competition.

Heh! That's rich. That sound I hear is a lot of the the FCS and Big Sky Conference catching up, AzGriz.

I haven't attended Cardinals training camp since the early to mid-2000s but when I was up there, the majority of Cardinals camp was on the practice fields to the east of the Skydome. The big end of camp scrimmage for the community/fans was done in the dome. When summer monsoons hit, practice gets moved indoors.

Wish the Seahawks still did camp out at Eastern.......that was a good deal for the University.

Like last game, when Bill Fette gave the game to the Griz?AZGrizFan wrote:mtjack wrote:
AZGrizfan....I caught a fish thiiiiiiiiiissss big. You're embellishing. No way there have been more Grizzly fans than Lumberjacks fans up there. I don't doubt Griz fans have definitely been louder by the end of the game as your were up 59-28 (or whatever) that one game I remember. But no way have there ever been more Griz fans at the start of the game than Jacks fans.![]()

Fine. but by midway through the 3rd quarter, you folks fold up your tents and go home.
And I walked the stadium that game - you vastly over-estimate the number of Griz - less than 25%

Yeah, this is the way they're still doing it.mtjack wrote:I haven't attended Cardinals training camp since the early to mid-2000s but when I was up there, the majority of Cardinals camp was on the practice fields to the east of the Skydome. Last year parent's weekend didn't sell out, but we did get over 12k in the dome against Montana St - way above our average, unfortunately. I can understand reducing seating since it's hard enough to get people to go but at the same time, such a major downgrade in seating is going to further stamp in peoples minds Jacks football is small-time.

Agree - I don't like the move at all.

edit: perhaps you forgot about the call LAST year where the ref had his head up his ass and awarded NAU a safety when the kickoff went through the end zone?

I would have hoped that the Bill Fette reference would have noted the sarcastic tone
