My roommate (Navy fella) said that the rumors he's hearing is that the soldiers are from the 6th division stationed in Chesapeake/Norfolk, but I'm not sure if he's right since nothing is online yet.

How is this not the lead story on television right now? It's the top of the hour and all the major networks are talking about the S&P thing! Is the credit rating really more important than the lives of 31 people? Wow. :ohno:

edit: 2nd story on MSNBC and on Fox News. 4th story on CNN...

We went into Iraq because we thought they had WMD's - they didn't - we should have come home by now.

We went into Afghanistan to get OBL - we got him - we should have come home by now.

Our government is overspending, in part because of two wars that should be over by now.

More importantly, American lives are being lost for nothing. Very sad.

I bet the helicopter had mechanical problems.
"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

Was. The Chinook is a very reliable bird and there are not a lot of things purely mechanical that wouldn't give you a chance to autorotate. I'd lean more toward enemy fire or pilot error.

I think the article said it was brought down by rocket fire.

Just found out that one of the SEALs killed is the son of some friends of my in-laws. My wife went to high school with him and even went to prom with him. :(

Not a bad idea perhaps. No opium, no Taliban.

Nope, a mid 30s who understands the truth about fraudulent nation of so called freedom. Heres the truth that the bought liar propaganda spin machine mainstream media won't tell the public. http://www.infowars.com/sea.." onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. ..... Or ..... http://www.infowars.com/dea.." onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. it's amazing how you armed forces fools are so brainwashed that you can't see that you are being used and killed for profit. Sad weekend for the military. Helicopter incident here, another chopper goes down under no fire during the OBL raid...

Can't we provide our "all-star military people" either the very best equipment or the very best pilots to go along on these missions with them??
