Official New York Yankees Thread
Re: Official New York Yankees Thread
Yeah it's just a pride thing against the Sox. They always find a way to blow their load in the 2nd half.

I can only hope the Red Sox blow their load in the 2nd half. Nothing would make me happier.Willie wrote:Yeah it's just a pride thing against the Sox. They always find a way to blow their load in the 2nd half.

Yankees 11-3 since Jeter got injured? Is expected back Monday. Maybe the Yanks are better without him?
Also Yanks now have a 2.5 game lead in the AL East over the Red Sox.
Currently lead the Brewers 2-0 in the top of the 3rd inning.

Phil Hughes is starting tonight in Chicago. All season long, Hughes has struggled with a dead arm and was hitting pretty much no higher than the high 80s on his fastball, when he was hitting 95 on the gun last season.
Tonight he hit 95 on the gun three times in a dominant first inning, his best numbers of the season. Can he keep it up? Is his arm back and sound?

Willie, I didn't know you were so green. Way to recycle threads.
