Norway intentional homicide rate per 100k avg for decade close to .90. Norway 90 some percent (94?) white.

50. New Hampshire: .80, 93.9% white.
48, Vermont: 1.1, 95.3% white

38. Wyoming: 2.5, 90.7% white (tied with WI)
22. WV 4.6, 93.9% (tied with DE) (still below the national avg of 5.0). WV obviously the outlier here.

19 of the 24 states with the percent of the population over 80% white showed up in the bottom 25 in the murder rate (exceptions being Ohio, Indiana, WV, Pennsylvania, and Missouri, and only 2 of them, PA and MO, were above the national avg of 5.0).

Its not politically correct to say, but it appears demographics in terms of race has a lot to do with the murder rate in the US and is a major factor (but not the only one of course) in explaining the difference between the US and Norway's rate.

Poverty and education levels might have something to with it. That would explain WV. countries with a high level of income equality like Norway have lower crime rates. Happy, smart people tend to not be killers - regardless of race.

Lets see. Comparing states by wealth by median income would be better than comparing them by avg income or per capita GDP for obvious reasons.

I'll save you the time. High population density, poverty rates, and low levels of crime lead to higher murder rates. Darkies tend to fall into these categories for a variety of historical reasons. It still has nothing to do with pigmentation.

A friend of mine was telling me that the Norwegian SWAT team (I forget the actual name of them) and police had a complete meltdown when responding to the shooting. Apparently dispatchers weren’t fielding calls about the shooting as they were only interested about calls regarding the bombing for the first half hour or so during the rampage. Then it took the police a long time to get on the island where the camp was located as they had to drive up the 22 miles up the coast (which took them 45 minutes) and then hop on a boat. Apparently their lone helicopter could seat a total of 4 people, but it didn’t matter as both of their pilots were on “holiday”. Then the lone police boat had to be launched, which was an inflatable boat which when loaded with the police response team, was overloaded and had to be bailed as they made their way to the island. Basically from what I heard it was a complete clusterfuck of a response by local authorities.

I have no idea if any of this is accurate as I heard this all second hand…and I doubt I care enough about this to fish up some links.

I guarantee you, if I'm on an island with 100 other people and a guy is shooting at us with a handgun, there's no fucking WAY he's going to shoot for 90 minutes. 10 guys rush him from 10 different directions, he's going down. I realize these were teenagers, but running, hiding, swimming into the water, none of that worked. They allowed themselves to be hunted, and (armed or not), I ain't goin' out that way.
