BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University football has signed 14 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, head coach Jerry Moore announced on Wednesday. The 14 signees — all high-school seniors — will join ASU’s football program in the fall.

The class includes: linebacker Zac Baker (Tunnel Hill, Ga./Northwest Whitfield), linebacker Michael Frazier (Conway, S.C./Conway), linebacker Brandon Grier (Charlotte, N.C./West Charlotte), quarterback Jamal Jackson (Atlanta, Ga./North Atlanta), linebacker Jeremy Kimbrough (Decatur, Ga./Cedar Grove), quarterback Jamill Lott (Kannapolis, N.C./A.L. Brown), quarterback Demetrius McCray (Covington, Ga./Newton), offensive lineman Storm Moore (St. Stephens, S.C./Timberland), athlete Andrew Peacock (Durham, N.C./Northern Durham), defensive back Troy Sanders (Chester, S.C./Chester), wide receiver Quin Thornton (Fort Myers, Fla./Barron Collier), wide receiver Rodger Walker (Thomasville, Ga./Brookwood), wide receiver Tony Washington (High Point, N.C./T.W. “We’re pleased with the class that we’ve signed,” Moore said. “It will be one of the most athletic groups to ever come through here. That athleticism gives us a lot of interchangable parts which will allow us to put each player in spots to best utilize their talents and help the team win. Additionally, we’re fortunate to bring in another crop of good students and citizens that we expect to be great representatives of the University for years to come.”
