The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, located in Lincoln Nebraska was founded in 1869. It is a Landgrant institution, the flagship university of the University of Nebraska system, and has a total enrollment of a little over 24,000.
The University of Colorado at Boulder was founded in 1876, and has a total enrollment of slightly over 30,000.
Both came out of the historic Big-8 conference to become charter members of the B12 when it formed in 1996.
That help any?

I was thinking South Dakota Mines and Eastern New Mexico due to their proximity and state of confusion as being the next likely candidates to fill the smelly shoes of the Buffaloes and Bugeaters.

I'm sure Texas would be pleased with a school that recently had lost like 50 out of 52 games and lost to an NAIA and plays in this:

As a fan of Eastern Washington, let me be the first to say throw down some red turf and you've got yourself a quality D-I football facility !!!Silenoz wrote:I'm sure Texas would be pleased with a school that recently had lost like 50 out of 52 games and lost to an NAIA and plays in this:

Lol. Pretty much, except we have pretty nice end zone seating and some shit on the opposite side. Get with the program Indiana State.LDopaPDX wrote:As a fan of Eastern Washington, let me be the first to say throw down some red turf and you've got yourself a quality D-I football facility !!!Silenoz wrote:I'm sure Texas would be pleased with a school that recently had lost like 50 out of 52 games and lost to an NAIA and plays in this:

Up until a couple of years ago they had a couple of sets of bleachers on the other side. When we were there last fall was the first time I had noticed them being gone. Hell, when you draw 5000 a game, I guess they really don't need a "visitors" side seating behind their bench, just let 'em have an entire section of the main grandstand.EWURanger wrote:Lol. That place has twice the permanent seating as EWU. I think it is about 12k at ISUBLDopaPDX wrote:As a fan of Eastern Washington, let me be the first to say throw down some red turf and you've got yourself a quality D-I football facility !!!Silenoz wrote:I'm sure Texas would be pleased with a school that recently had lost like 50 out of 52 games and lost to an NAIA and plays in this:

If you look closely at the bottom of the picture you will see the remenants of a curved wall that looks suspiciously like the outfield wall of a baseball stadium. Because it used to be a minor league baseball stadium. The team either folded or left town or something and the site was donated or sold on the cheap to the University, and they built a football field on top of it. The field runs East-West instead of the traditional North-South.clenz wrote:That place has twice the permanent seating as EWU. I think it is about 12k at ISUBLDopaPDX wrote:

Explains why they have sucked so bad for so long. Running backs and kick returners are told from their pee wee football days to run North and South. Doesn't work so well on that field.
The place is about a mile from campus, which can't help attendance any.
ISUr just tore down the death trap bleachers in the South end zone. They are "officially" listing capacity at 9000, but realisticaly it will be closer to 8000.

Honestly, if they build decent seating on the other side they will have a hell of a complex there.OSBF wrote:If you look closely at the bottom of the picture you will see the remenants of a curved wall that looks suspiciously like the outfield wall of a baseball stadium. Re: Illinois State/Indiana State
They both suck, hard.
Re: Illinois State/Indiana State
Which one do we fly over first, going E-W? Not so good with my geography I guess. They shouldn't have put all the "I"'s so close together.Grizalltheway wrote:They both suck, hard.
Re: Illinois State/Indiana State
hey now, not ALL the "I"'s are together, only 75% of them. ;opASUG8 wrote:Which one do we fly over first, going E-W? Not so good with my geography I guess. They shouldn't have put all the "I"'s so close together.Grizalltheway wrote:They both suck, hard.

with the season Texas had last year, I'm sure they'd welcome that new edition.Silenoz wrote:I'm sure Texas would be pleased with a school that recently had lost like 50 out of 52 games and lost to an NAIA and plays in this:
