Fuel cell tech only becomes viable if we get the greens to lay off nuclear power.

If we use fossil fuels to produce the electricity required to crack water for fuel cells there will be no energy savings and no reduction in emissions. That is the whole point.

If the world will stop crying about nuclear and we scale down to smaller, US Navy-style reactors (and have more of them), then fuel cell technology is the way of the future.

Much less energy is used than is created to produce the hydrogen though.

This is creating hydrogen using a very small amount of energy.. what people are calling free energy (along wiith a lot of other new types of energy technology which are being censored from the public).

There go those greens again, controlling our access to energy. I suspect they're feeling vindicated these days and more in a mood to play "I told you so" than laying off nuclear power.

Smaller nukes could be an important part of policy but since when do we build smaller and smarter when we can go huge and wasteful and steal the taxpayer blind?

I don't know about the second part of your reply, but stealing the taxpayer blind is what government does in all venues, not just energy policy.

As for the first part, it absolutely IS the green lobby that has placed many regulatory roadblocks to expanding our nuclear power capabilities. It isn't just in the US, either. It is worse in places like Germany, where the nuclear grid was teetering before the Japan quake, and now they are going to shut down their entire grid. (Where they will make up that 20% of their entire electrical production is anyone's guess. Probably coal.)

I think the primary purpose behind the huge (and therefore less safe) reactors was a matter of non-proliferation concerns. We preferred to keep our fissile material in as few places as possible, making the huge plants necessary. It had little to do with money on the front end. If we can solve the security problems that would come from having numerous small reactors, then the only thing standing in the way at that point will the the environmentalists. I understand their concerns, by the way, but I think many of them are overblown.

One day we will HAVE to accept a nuclear reality. All the new "renewable" energy sources do not come close to filling the gap that oil, coal and gas will leave behind.

The point is though- we already have the ability to burn water as a fuel, using the method I posted.

This means that we are being lied to- because the gov. definitely knows about this. They talked to the original guy who developed this technology (Stan Meyer) when they wanted to start using HHO in their hummers.

No way you have a degree in a Science from UW. :ohno:

Maybe political science.

In short, Hydrogen is a particularly tough element to deal with because the infrastructure needed to contain it is extremely complicated and expensive to build. Being the smallest atom known to man, Hydrogen leaks out of everything, and the technology isn't there yet to create a cost-efficient network across the country to store it, transport it, and contain it in vehicles. Hopefully as time goes on and the technology becomes cheaper as we invest further into it, the materials that are able to contain Hydrogen become viable on a larger scale, but right now they are not.

Also, Hydrogen production is not as efficient as you may think right now. But it will be in the future (unless we take on a defeatist attitude toward the technology), and I do think that when I'm an old dude and you're all dead lol, Hydrogen will be a fairly big player on the world stage.

edit: btw, building a fuel cell isn't that big of a deal. University students across the country do it everyday. Now if that dude can build a Hydrogen storage tank on his own, color me impressed.

It's hilarious- Here I am trying to tell you guys about a technology which is very real, demonstrated in hundreds of videos from different people and verified by thousands.

These same people will believe Bin Laden is dead just because the government says so, or that a plane hit the Pentagon just because the government says so without any video evidence (even though plenty exists).

Unbelievable.

The second video I provided clearly illustrates how the truck is hooked up to a 100% water fuel cell, no gas at all.

There are literally thousands of helpful videos on water as fuel HHO online- a cottage industry is actually developing as we speak (you won't be hearing about it on NBC, ABC, or CNN though).

I know, it's weird you haven't heard about it on the boob tube. That's because the super rich who own all our media also have large stakes in the huge oil companies. Energy is one of the largest profit margin industries there is. That would essentially dissapear overnight if people were using water as fuel. If you have people hooked on an expensive source of energy, you want to keep that going for as long as you can.

Many HHO hobbiests are very nice and helpful people. There are a number of forums of people talking about this subject, and getting off gas completely.

HHO forum: http://www.hhoforums.com/forumdisplay.p ... 1ddcbe&f=6" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Alternative energy HHO discussion forum: http://forums.alternative-energy-news.i ... ad-91.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Another one: http://hhoinformation.com/forum/categor ... z1P60tizFi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"What is actually happening in these units is a common ducting of oxygen and hydrogen. What results is HHO, or browns gas, or oxy-hydro etc etc. The thing about this gas is that it is implosive-not explosive. And it morphs to the properties of whatever it comes in contact with. Stones and minerals become instantly white hot when a browns gas flame is applied-feldspar changes to moonstone among other things. A browns gas torch setup can weld dissimilar metals and instantly becomes hot enough to fuse whatever it comes in contact with. So, browns gas or HHO introduced into the combustion chamber with a minimal amount of gasoline or ethanol, natural gas, or diesel-creates a dynamic flame front that burns completely, cleanly, and creates only H20 as an exhaust byproduct. An electrolyzer unit retrofitted into a conventional motor burning any type of fuel actually creates new oxygen that is released into the atmosphere where none is consumed. This differs from a hybrid fuel cell design in which oxygen is consumed from the atmosphere to create electricity when introduced to the fuel cell."

Do a search for results for HHO gas on Google.. People are giving away the plans and blueprints for free.. there are hundreds of videos proving this works.

Finally, if it's so fake, why is it a police department is converting all of its cars to use HHO?

Actually, the man who invented this technology originally- Stan Meyer had a vehicle that drove on 100% water in the late 1980's.

So, the technology works fine already, and the military continues to buy up the technology. Stan Meyer refused, and he was poisoned at a local restaurant in 1998.

Jesus, spandex, cities all over Europe are using Hydrogen powered buses right now, where are you getting this "suppressed" technology jive?

Since it's so easy to do and you have a Science degree from UW, you must be running your car on hydrogen, yes?

Actually I don't currently own a car. It isn't needed here in SLO, bikes are a lot cheaper than paying all the yearly fees.

I have seen this technology pysically demonstrated in Seattle though, and have seen enough videos of normal everyday Americans who are spending a lot of their free time sharing good info and not asking for money to know it isn't a scam.

As far as suppressed- yeah, last time I went to the auto dealership (which I have done a few times) I didn't see any HHO cars on the lot. So I think I'd say that it is a suppressed technology for sure.

Do you think the Honea Path Police department is making things up and installing HHO systems in their vehicles as a big joke?

What do any of these people have to gain- most are offering free plans and concepts.

It must not be very efficient or everybody would do it if it's that easy. Hell, you don't even use something so simple yourself, so there must not be anything to it.

btw, which science did you say your degree from UW was in?

Personally, I wouldn't believe a word the Honea Path PD says, they work for the government.

So you yourself don't actually have have a car that burns water, but you made a journey to Seattle to see the technology demonstrated, and then returned to slo, and didn't adopt this technology because it's easier to ride a bike?
