On our way to another series win! Halladay's had better days, but today the O bailed him out. Not the usual script this year!

I know, I know, Lee got shelled, but we still have Oswalt going tonight! I guess John Lannan has to beat the Phils sooner or later...

I'm debating whether or not to do a weekend in Pittsburgh with the Phils out there. They've had some real shit luck at PNC though.

I'm fairly prophetic. I say Oswalt gets the loss 2-1.

EDIT: Shit. Beaten by the bandl. Foiled again. :ohno:

And you're officially disinvited to the 1st annual 93Ivy Crabfest.

Phils sure are wasting a lot of great pitching this year. :ohno:

Feel the same way about Seattle. They'd probably have one of the best records in the league with even a few decent hitters in the lineup. :x

Pittsburgh's new park has been a graveyard for the Phils ever since it opened. :x

Very entertaining ballgame tonight. Watched the whole deal while working on the laptop. :thumb:

Pretty refreshing stat after enduring Lidge last year and '09: Phils are 32-0 when leading after 8 innings this year. Do you even let Lidge back on the roster if he gets to 100%?

What made his performance extra special last night was that he got out of jams when his pitch count was already in the 90s in the 7th and in the 100s in the 8th. Pure guts.

Sounds like blasphemy with Halladay, but Hamels is the Phils best pitcher right now. Cliff Lee is about 5th at best.

1. Hamels
2. Halladay
3. (tie) Madson
3, (tie) Bastardo
5, (tie) Lee & Contreras

Win #9 for Doc. The pen made it scary in the eight, but Old Dirty Bastardo comes in and shuts down the Cubbies in the ninth! :thumb:

Oswalt recovers, and Howard gets 3 more ribbies. Pretty productive .240 hitter! ;)

He's on pace for 132 ribbies - could use a little more production in the slugging department, but at least he's finding other ways to bring guys in. But again, hard to find things to quibble about when you're the first team to 40 wins and sporting the best record in all of baseball (although listening to local sports radio you'd think the Phils were middle of the pack at best).

Great game for the Phils last night, with 5 homers and another strong start from Hamels. We'll have to see about Cole's sore back.

I have tix for tonight's game against the Fish. Halladay is on the mound!  :notworthy:

What a great game! Victorino's hit ties it with 2 outs in the 9th, and Chooch wins it in the 10th. Real playoff atmosphere!

That was the second straight time I attended a game where they announced the attendance as the biggest regular-season crowd in stadium history. The first was Utley's injury-comeback game against the Reds.
