Think TV isn't pusing a left-wing agenda?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

NEVER trust a single source.
Watch them all.
Read ravenously.
Take what you see and read, hold up your opinion against your life experience and those things you know to be true, and then you will almost always arrive at a well informed opinion.

It's interesting, because if a conservative were to make a claim like this, he'd be labled as a conspiracy theorist who wears a tin foil hat.

I don't think anyone is saying that they shouldn't have the freedom to do what they want, but made in Hollywood TV Sitcoms isn't the 'press'. Seems that Shapiro is proving what everyone has known, but the left hasn't had the cajones to admit and always denied.Grizalltheway wrote:I guess freedom of the press only applies if it's the right kind of press.Vidav wrote:So?
One thing is almost certain, if a successful Sitcom was produced deep in the heart of Texas and known conservative writers, producers, and directors were blatantly 'blackballing' liberal actors, the 'progressive' left would be bringing in teams of lawyers and screaming 'discrimination at the top of their lungs.

Not really - campaign money from the boardrooms of the biggest companies in america flow to whomever the likely winner is going to be. Obama and the Dems raked it in in 2008 when it was clear the Dems were going to win big. Just like it went the other way when the GOP was ascendent in 2010. Corporate America likes to back the winner, especially considering they'll then have to deal with the winner for the next few years. Hollywood never cares about the winner, just who had a "-D" after their name.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:follow the moneyCitadelGrad wrote:

So the creator of "Friends" cops to pushing a liberal agenda through his casting and scripts for the show, but as Chris Rock observed, he couldn't find one brother in all of New York City to feature on the show? I mean they made friends with a fucking monkey, and still they don't have one brother who is a friend?
Sounds like he's pushing a limo liberal agenda.

The brothers are only valuable in November every two years, and their votes are cheaply bought. Besides, they don't watch Friends. They watch the WB.

The idea that either "TV' or "the media" are singular entities with singular agendas is ridiculous. It just depends on the network you watch at any gigen time. There are plenty of networks out there touting the conservative agenda, or any other agenda for that matter. I'm not sure how one could think that all 1000 channels on your dish are all trying to convert you to be liberals. It;s bulshit.

The article quotes "some tv executives" are pushing a left wing agenda and that is correct and what I agreed with.kalm wrote:LeadBolt wrote:

Captain Obvious jumps from "some" to "all" due to a lack of reading comprehension, then makes the point that it is only some of the networks push the left wing agenda, and that networks are not a unified group and some of the 1000 networks he claims exist, push the right wing agenda. He is correct, if you throw in all of them, although I doubt there are 1000.

It's like a chicken and egg thing - it became clear when the money broke so much in favor of one candidate. Happens all the time. Follow the money, and you have your winner. Like I said, Corporate America is almost like Vegas when it comes to these things - in the end, they always win - they really don't care what the party designation is, as long as it's the winner.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:yes - when a clear winner is obvious early on like it was in 08.GannonFan wrote:
