APR - 2011 Postseason Bans
Looking through the NCAA database, it appears Idaho State is getting one. Anyone willing to look to see if there are others?

Kind of redundant-they already have a self-imposed one.

Still not sure if I should actually meet him-Russians and Germans don't tend to get along very well.grizzaholic wrote:Shut up Vidav....oh. Sorry. I get you two confused.Grizalltheway wrote:Kind of redundant-they already have a self-imposed one.

Maybe, but it'll have to be at the Bayern brewery.grizzaholic wrote:So breaking some bread over a bottle ofGrizalltheway wrote:

Another way that the Russians are better than the Germans. They know the difference between a brewery and a distillary.Grizalltheway wrote:Maybe, but it'll have to be at the Bayern brewery.grizzaholic wrote:

I'm saying Bayern would balance out the Russian aspect of the meeting. That bottle looks pretty easy for Grizo to 'mule' in.

Get him to give up the bottle SECOND
Vidav wouldn't show if the vodka wasn't poured and waiting when he arrived.

The full list of APR penalties
Idaho State will lose 2.98 scholarships and ban from playoffs
Jackson State - playoff ban, loss of 6.3 scholarships
Southern - playoff ban, loss of 1.67 scholarships
North Carolina A&T faced a postseason ban, but the NCAA granted it a conditional waiver for this coming year. Waivers generally include demonstrated academic improvement, active presidential involvement, meeting certain APR benchmarks and implementation of an APR improvement plan. The Aggies, however, can face historical penalties for poor academic performance over time.
Delaware State, 9 scholarships
Howard, 6.3 scholarships
Missouri State, 6.25 scholarships
Georgia Southern, 4.47 scholarships
Sam Houston State, 3.25 scholarships
Howard, 2.84 scholarships
Charleston Southern, 2.72 scholarships
Southeastern Louisiana, 1.69 scholarships
Weber State, 0.43 scholarships
Portland State, 0.29 scholarships

At UNI .29 scholarships is is $4,394.56 for an out of state player.CatMom wrote:what the hell is .29 of a scholarship worth in terms of money and/or athletes?
It doesn't sound like much, but with only 63 scholarships to fill a roster of about 100 it can cause some unhappiness with whoever is losing the scholarship money.
