A few days ago he called the President a “traitor” for the way he managed the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
Fonda, a self-avowed environmentalist who co-produced the documentary “The Big Fix” which is about the BP disaster, told reporters: "I sent an email to President Obama saying, 'You are a f------ traitor,' using those words... 'You're a traitor, you allowed foreign boots on our soil telling our military - in this case the coast guard - what they can and could not do, and telling us, the citizens of the United States, what we could or could not do',"

The Tea Party was simply a reaction to people being finally fed up with the fact that there was no fiscal responsibility on either side of the aisle. That they came to prominence during Obama's presidency is a lot more about timing than it is about which party owns the White House. I know many people today who are either sympathetic to the Tea Party (I'm one of them) or consider themselves to be members of the Tea Party who were very unfriendly towards Bush's spending policies and they were quite vocal. The Tea Party did not even have a name back then, so to say that the Tea Party was not coming down on Bush is somewhat disingenuous.Grizalltheway wrote:1.
