Well obviously cheating on your wife doesn't preclude doesn't exclude one from winning the Presidency. Didn't seem to hurt Clinton much.
At least Newt admits to it instead of deny, deny, deny...

So in your mind, cheating on your cancer-stricken wife, dumping her, marrying the new bitch, then cheating on HER, dumping her, only admitting to it after filing for divorce shows better moral character??
Damn, I feel sad for you.

From what I've read of his 1st marriage, donks like you like to spin this myth Gingrich visited his 1st ex while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery to discuss the details of their divorce. Gingrich's daughter has written that it was her mother who requested the divorce, that it happened prior to the hospital stay, which was a surgery for the removal of a benign tumor, not cancer, and that Gingrich’s visit was for the purpose of bringing his children to see their mother, not to discuss the divorce.
The 2nd wife he cheated and and later filed for divorce.
So Clinton cheated with numerous women, publically denied it, was later proven to be lying to the public, and didn't file for divorce.
Newt cheated with at least 2 women, pulically denied it at 1st, was later proven to be lying to the public, and did file for divorce once.
Clinton never publically admitted his affairs. Newt did. So Newt at minimum has equal moral standing as Clinton does on that mater.
You donks are the ones who were always saying when Clinton was in office that what happened between he and Hillary was a private matter. Now all of a sudden with Newt it matters?

Gingrinch is the one pushing his version of morality and "marriage sancitity" on the rest of us. If not for that fact, I could give a flying fuck what he does in his spare time.
But he is a grade A hypocrite when it comes to morality.

Newt is an intelligent guy, so I have no idea on why he would do something so idiotic as give credence to the man made global warming alarmists while cozying up to Nancy Pelosi on a park bench.JohnStOnge wrote:Who in their right mind would think they could make this commercial then later have any shot at all at getting through Republican primaries?"

That will play a far bigger factor in Newt having close to zero chance of getting the Republican nomination than a couple of divorces, one of them being his 1st wife requesting a divorce prior to her having a surgery to remove a benign tumor that fuc*tards on the left have spun into Newt divorced a dying wife with cancer on her deathbed.
I don't know which is dumber- Newt's ad with Pelosi, Romney defending Romneycare, saying it wasn't a mistake, or Paul saying he wouldn't have ordered the hit on Osama.

Newt is past his shelf life even without his family values problems, and I doubt the honks have forgotten how Clinton kicked a mud hole in his ass and DeLay stomped it dry afterwards.....John Kerry was a titan compared to Newt's Pillsbury dough boy ass.

Re: Gingrich officially enters 2012 race
Yeah I think Newt is probably a pretty intelligent guy. I know when I listen to him actually debate a point I end up thinking he kills whoever he is debating in terms of actual substance and mental agility. It's just that that's not what public political debates are about. They're about style and appearance more than substance.
And I think it's fine if he really takes that position on the climate change issue.
BUT. That ad is out there, it's going to be used against him, and there is no WAY he's going to live that down while trying to win a Republican nomination to run for President. Just ain't gonna happen. I mean, I think his chances were pretty limited already for many reasons...some of which I think are a little unfair. But with that ad out there they're reduced pretty darned close to zero.

Newt getting stomped on by an Iowan.
Gingrich made his first official campaign stop to another early state--Iowa--on Monday. But one voter there made a scene by pulling Gingrich aside in the lobby of the Dubuque Holiday Inn to chide him for his Medicare remarks.
"What you just did to Paul Ryan was unforgivable," the man, identified by the Des Moines Register as Dubuque resident Russell Fuhrman, calmly told the candidate and the men shook hands.
"I didn't do anything to Paul Ryan," Gingrich replied.
"Yes, you did. You undercut him ... you're an embarrassment to our party."
Gingrich said, "I'm sorry you feel that way." But that didn't appear to placate Fuhrman.
"Why don't you get out before you make a bigger fool of yourself?" he asked Gingrich.
The exchange was caught on tape. Watch it below:

not off to a rousing start...MINNEAPOLIS - Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich refused to be pinned down Tuesday as a believer in creationism or evolution as the origin of human life during a gathering of Minnesota social conservatives, where he also endured a protester's confetti shower.
The former House speaker adopted a nuanced stance in the thorny debate over how life first formed, telling his Minnesota Family Council audience that both theological and scientific views can be right.
"I believe that creation as an act of faith is true and I believe that science as a mechanical process is true," Gingrich said at an afternoon session that preceded a more formal address. "Both can be true. I don't think there is necessarily a conflict between the two."
The answer left skeptics among the audience, the type Gingrich is working particularly hard to soothe in the early days of his campaign.
Retired plumber Marty Gavic said Gingrich's unwillingness to embrace creationism is a strike against his candidacy.
"When he talks about God in government, then I believe if he's a Godly man he should say that `I believe God created the heavens and earth because that's in the Bible,'" said Gavic, who was among a few dozen people who sat through a screening of a film Gingrich co-produced on religion in American government.

During the book signing, a protester poured a cracker box full of glittery confetti over Gingrich and his wife, Callista.
