Is NDSU playing or not?

If NDSU is playing the FCS game wouldn't be close.....The FBS game would still be a blowout for NDSU. They piss on the Big 10/12 as well as the SEC. They stomp mud holes in those fools.


If NDSU is not playing I would take the close game -vs- FCS competition.

If those are the only two choices, then, yes, I'd rather have the close game with an FCS. But this characterization plays into the misconception that ANY FBS-FCS matchup is going to be a blowout in favor of the FBS school. That generally only plays out if the FBS involved is also B(C)$, and even THAT has been shown to not be 100% foolproof. Just look at App-MI. Heck, last year alone, Liberty had an FBS win, as did a couple of other schools. Now, it's easier for eastern FCS teams to pull that off because of the prevalence of MAC/Sun Belt/C-USA schools and the like, but those potential wins ARE out there.
