For KY Jelly: If Any Other President...

Post by AZGrizFan »

This one's for KY: :D :D :D
-had doubled the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

- had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

- had criticized a state law that he admitted he never even read, would you think that he is just an ignorant hot head?

- joined the country of Mexico and sued a state in the United States to force that state to continue to allow illegal immigration, would you question his patriotism and wonder who's side he was on?

- had pronounced Corpsman like Corpse man, would you think him an idiot?

- had put 87,000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have one of the best safety records of any industry because one foreign company had an accident, would you have agreed?

- had used a forged document as the basis of the moratorium that would render 87,000 American workers unemployed would you support him?

- had been the first President to need a Teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

- had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take his First Lady to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

- had reduced your retirement plan holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

- had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

- had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

- had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought it a proud moment for America ?

- had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, and Japan's Prime Minister, would you have approved?

- had visited Austria and made reference to the nonexistent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

- had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

- had stated that there were 57 states in the United States , wouldn't you have had second thoughts about his capabilities?

- had flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in his home town, would you not have thought he was a self important, conceited, egotistical jerk.

- had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, wouldn't you have winced in embarrassment?

- had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

- had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

- had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

- had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have ever approved.

- had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

- had stood on the Mexican/U.S. border and joked about needing a "moat, with alligators", would you have thought him an insensitive clod"

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive?

He can check that box on the bucket list. Yay Obama :notworthy: Now for a couple of minor inconveniences:

* Soaring national debt
* Record deficits
* Inflationary pressures
* Debt ceiling
* Immigration
* Unemployment
* Continued reliance on foreign oil (failure to drill)
* Botched nationalized healthcare plan

Osama's death, while a good thing, will be the only thing he can hang his hat on in '12....and he'll still win. :coffee:

It's not Obama's fault that the Republican Party has become a halfway house for the lunatic fringe, wack jobs, Tea Party racists, and a laundry list of assorted losers, chumps, and phonies. The party has become such a joke that even a discredited old party hack like Newt Gingrich is starting to think he can get nominated. :lol:

Nice try dawg, but your response addresses none of the above mentioned. The Tea party impact (for better or worse) has at least refocused SOME of Congress that Spending > Revenues is not a good thing unlike our prior Democratic majority. Get the fiscal house in order and a lot of these issues will improve dramatically.

So sorry, '8, but the only thing that has been re-focused is some Congressional rhetoric. Boehner will roll over and present and the debt ceiling will raise. Business as Usual. :coffee:

The so-called Tea Party impact is minimal at best and had next to no effect on the last elections.

Although the cuts the Repubs and Obama agreed to are equivalent to pissing on a forest fire, they were cuts. I think we all know that wouldn't be the case under Pelosi.

Pretty much. Looking back I think it was already too late anyway. It matters not a whit who we elect from here on out, sad to say.

The US had a great run but now comes the time that all empires experience - the long decline to irrelevance while the young upstarts take over the show and do things their way.

Check your deficit performance of the Dems from 2006-2010. Enough data points exist for a chimp to extrapolate a trend.

The debt ceiling will rise, but it certainly would have anyway if the Dems had kept control of the House. I will agree that we're pretty much screwed.

The price of gas doubled since Bush left office.
The deficit has doubled since Bush left office.
The debt has increased by 25% since Bush left office.
Food prices are up by 30% since Bush left office.
Unemployment is up almost 3% since Obama's election.
Home values continue to crater every month...

Link for food prices please. Food and gas prices are related.
Home values will never recover. That's another scam.
