I really hate to pull this card, because I've caught enough shit for in in the past but....I worked for the ticket office at UNI for over 2 years, including both UNI/NDSU games. I ran all kinds of reports to see where our tickets were being sent and what not. I know the seating of the dome very in depth. I can promise you 2,500 is being generous, unless there was 2K tickets bought by NDSU fans from scalpers on stubhub.

With that picture Im thinking more like 6,000 now. We sat in seats near the 50 that had a bench back but just a bleacher on the home side. The seats crossed the isle blocking it. Im sure they did that to increase seating. There were lots of NDSU fans around us in UNI home territory and across the field, in the visitors side, there were even more. Now that you have published the seating chart I would say Lakes is probably closer to the truth than anybody.

Between season ticket sales, seats reserved for students, seats put on hold by the deparment and normal single game sales at UNI there isn't 3k seats per game to sell.

I went to the 2008 game at UNI, 2500 sounds about right. I have no idea how many fans were there last year, although the crowd definitely looked smaller while I was watching on TV.

I was at the game in Cedar Falls last year and the seats allotted to NDSU were full. There weren't that many others outside of that section.

I'm glad that CAS is adding seats, but it's too bad they couldn't get a new stadium all together.

I would like to hear an estimate from SDSU fans on how many BISON fans were at CAS last time. I would say 5-6,000.

I dont think we had 6,000 at UNI either. 4,000 is more like it, but the NDSU fan base was so big down there its really just a guess. The Holiday in was full of NDSU fans. Thats where we stayed. We walked down to the game.

When we go to CAS we like to stay in Watertown.

When the Bison played in Brookings back in 2007 when they were ranked #1, I would 100% agree that it was 4000-6000, closer to 6000. But in 2009 when the Bison were just awful, no way close to 4000. SDSU occupying the entire westside and endzone and half the eastside bleachers, with NDSU occupying the other half of the eastside, maybe 2,500-3,000. But in 2007 definently close to 6,000.

Thats a pretty good estimate for that crowd. We didnt go into the tailgate lots. We parked outside west of the stands. That place has really changed over the years from the old days when you parked where you wanted and could even start a fire to now. The new seats will be good. One thing about CAS, its an open book. A stadium with lots of room to expand.

Congrats on the extra seating. South Dakota state seems to me to be a class program and one to be respected. Now, is this jbb guy for real? I didn't realize that some championships in a watered down division 2 and one playoff berth since moving up would qualify north Dakota state as a dynasty, let alone going on a 4th dynasty. Obviously I must be terribly misinformed. I salute ndsu for their success but a little perspective is needed I think.

NDSU has entered the 4th football dynasty! It began last season. Thumper is having a problem with opening up some prime seats for NDSU fans! Take it easy Thumper, you can work through your frustrations without debasing your character with such trash talk. The other fellow can learn about the 4th NDSU Dynasty by reading and studying my threads. I sure hope he does.
