http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/20 ... omination/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;According to the poll, taken before the announcement of Osama bin Laden's death, President Barack Obama has an edge over all the top GOP candidates in hypothetical match-ups.
Who does best against Obama? Paul. The congressman from Texas, who also ran as a libertarian candidate for president in 1988 and who is well liked by many in the tea party movement, trails the president by only seven points (52 to 45 percent) in a hypothetical general election showdown. Huckabee trails by eight points, with Romney down 11 points to Obama.
The poll indicates the president leading Gingrich by 17 points, Palin by 19, and Trump by 22 points.
"It should be obvious to any political observer that hypothetical general election match-ups at this stage of the game have relatively little predictive value," says Holland.

Based on he current field of candidates, it may not matter whether he's on the ballot or not...he'll probably still get my vote.93henfan wrote:Please Conks, get that guy on your ballot so I can vote for him.

When are people going to realize looks have nothing to do with a presidency?
Ron Paul wants to make pretty much everything legal- including well, everything, while eliminating most of the bureaucracy that cost so much tax money-
Also, wants to make all drugs, prostitution, pretty much everything consentual legal. Imagine- we would actually be living in a free country. It would be weird.

Ron Paul is running in 2012 - and he's got my vote. Dude's got his shit together. He is concerned with America, our country, not the rest of the world. And he thinks very fairly, not cocky or brash. I think he deserves to be our next President.
People like to dismiss him as the next Perot, but I wonder if those people have actually looked into what he's all about.
