More complicated because you'd have to look at each states' exit polls. And, you'd have to divide it up by sex.

Hillary won the female black vote in many states.
Doubting that. Even in states she won like New York, her home state, she didn't get the black women's vote.

While I understand the pull of wanting the photos released to "prove it"... I believe it will do more harm than good... and in the long run undermine what we've sought to do.
Gotta agree with ya on this one - the only thing that releasing photos of someone (who is undoubtedly now a martyr to some) in a mangled condition is going to do is to add fuel to what is already a very delicate situation.

Unfortunately, they're going to have to do something, whether that be releasing DNA or something else. Otherwise, the conspiracy theories are bound to erupt.

Don't release the pics. Totally unnecessary. The fucker's dead. We don't need to release the pics just to satisfy the loons in the country that need 'evidence' that he is dead.

Post a picture of bin Laden's severed head being held in the same pose as Daniel Pearl's head.

Nope. Apparently some Senators fell for photoshopped pics.
Not one U.S. Senator has told NBC News that they have seen the official Osama bin Laden death photo. Many, who attended the CIA Director Leon Panetta briefings, say they were not shown in those sessions. Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein says no senators have seen the photos. Feinstein adds she believes a fake has circulated.

Here's the confusion: Three senators -- Sens. Scott Brown (R-MA), Saxby Chambliss (R-AL), and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), all Republicans on the Armed Services Committee, said they had seen a picture of the deceased bin Laden, but now are backing off.

Brown's office is backtracking and says the photo he referred to was not authentic. Brown agrees with President Obama and opposes the release.

Chambliss says he would make a judgment after he sees the picture but is concerned about the impact of distributing the death picture.

"I was shown a photo by an individual that was represented to be a photo of bin Laden after he'd been shot," Chambliss said. "It appeared to be an accurate photo. It was not an official photo."

Ayotte said she was shown a photo by another senator on an electronic device. Ayotte said she believed the photo depicted a deceased bin Laden. Now, her office says she is not sure if the image she was shown is legitimate.

"I was shown a photo," Ayotte said. "I don't know whether its authentic. It appeared obviously to look like Osama bin laden but I can't verify whether its authentic or not."

Ayotte differs from the president and supports the release of the official death photo. She is the former attorney general of her home state and her husband Joe Daley is an Iraq war veteran.

What they should've done is kept the body, fed it to hungry pigs, videotaped that, and distributed the video on the web. That would do a lot more to freak out Muslim fanatics than just killing him and documenting that would. Take the position of letting them know that their body is going to be treated like that after they die when we get ahold of them. I think that very little intimidates such people. But doing stuff like that would. They're real big on post-mortem ritual and they don't like pigs. I think the thought of having their bodies fed to pigs would give them a lot more pause than just the thought of death does.

I am going to pull a Kerry on this and say that my opinion has evolved.

I say don't release the pics.

Not because of the pu$$y a$$ reasons that have been given. I don't care about how inflamed the world gets. The kinds of people who would get inflamed by it should already be on our bucket list for a Hellfire missile anyway.

I say don't release the pics because the guy is over. Done. He was an insignificant man who simply had enough money to carry out his fanatic fantasies. Take away the money and he's just another rageboy yelling on the streets of Sanaa.

I'll paraphrase what I read from a commenter over at HotAir: He spent the last few minutes of his life knowing exactly what was coming. He heard the SEALS knocking around downstairs, waiting for that door to be blown. When it happened, he watched his wife muster more courage than he had when she rushed the door. Then he died like a dog. He didn't get his blaze of glory, he didn't get the hero's death he preferred. As an atheist I can say that he is not in hell, he is not with 72 virgins, he is shark bait.

Don't add one iota of credibility or notoriety to the guy by putting up his picture.

Agree with Cid. I guess that's what pisses me off about this whole deal. I can understand not wanting to release the pictures because it's in poor taste and we'll let the act speak for itself. But what just frigging infuriates me is when I hear a talking head or politician state that it's not worth possibly inflaming the muslim population half a world away...the same muslim population that already hates us, think we are infidels and parade our people's severed heads ontheir nightly newscasts.

If you don't want to release the photos, fine. But if you are afraid of the reaction it may cause in Shitistan, then that's unacceptable...their feelings should matter not ONE IOTA in this decision. Fundamentalist muslims don't have the right (nor even the critical thinking skills necessary) to dictate what we do....fok 'em and feed 'em fish... :coffee:

The Obama Administration’s cloud of confusion explained
http://www.bookwormroom.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ^

Okay, what do we have here:
1) There was a firefight.
2) There was no firefight.
3) Bin Laden was “resisting.”
4) Bin Laden wasn’t armed. (Makes the concept of “resisting” interesting.)
5) He used his wife as a shield.
6) His wife was killed too.
7) He didn’t use his wife as a shield. She ran at a SEAL who shot her in the leg, but she’s fine.
8 ) Some other woman — the maid? — was used as a shield. By somebody. Downstairs.
9) That other woman — downstairs — was killed.
10) Maybe not. She was killed unless she wasn’t — and who was she, anyway?
11) Bin Laden’s son was killed.
12) Unless it was some other guy.
13) Bin Laden’s daughter saw him get killed. She’s undoubtedly traumatized, poor dear.
14) They were going to capture Bin Laden until the problem with the helicopter, which was:
A) It had mechanical trouble
B) It did a hard landing
C) It crashed
D) It clipped a wall with a tail rotor, effectively a crash
15.) They were never going to try to capture him; it was always a kill mission.
16.) No, it wasn’t.
17) The chopper blew up.
18) The SEALs blew it up.
19.) Panetta said yesterday the world needed proof and the photo would be released.
20.) Obama said today in an interview he taped with Steve Kroft for “60 Minutes” to be broadcast Sunday that it won’t be released. It’s too gruesome, would offend Muslim sensibilities (something he worries about a lot — I personally do not give a warm fart on a wet Wednesday about Muslim sensibilities), and how would Americans feel if Muslims released pictures of dead Americans?
21.) Kroft — who’s not a total idiot — pointed out that ever since “Black Hawk Down” days, Muslims have been doing precisely that, filming American bodies being dragged through the streets, filming Daniel Pearl’s head being cut off, filming any and everything.
22) Obama gets pissed at CBS, the tape gets cleaned up, that question disappears. (Inside info.)
23.) We got a “treasure trove” of stuff from hard drives, etc.
24.) There were no phone lines, and no internet access at the “mansion,” they didn’t even have TV — what “treasure trove?”
25.) There is obviously in the pictures of the place a large satellite dish. I guess they used it for making salads.
26.) And now, just today: apparently the idea was to capture him, but only if he was naked. There was a suspicion he might be wearing a suicide bomber type explosive vest, or belt. So if he’s not naked and you can’t see if he has a vest on or not – shoot him.
The idiot Carney — they actually managed to find someone who makes Gibbs look good — is currently twisting himself into knots trying to explain why the photograph that the whole world was expecting isn’t going to be released. (Obviously the thing to do is get Trump on the case, he’ll force Obama to release it.)

The military did great, the administration — or whatever that bunch is, kind of like “The Little Rascals” — have managed to turn it into spaghetti. The story has changed so many times in the course of a mere three days it’s a joke — the world would be better off if Panetta had left the little shitwit on the golf course.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
All of the back and forth, story changing, and shilly-shallying, over how this operation went down is not as sinister as many people might think. However, it DOES indicate a certain amount of amateurism on the part of the administration.

The SEALs did what they were tolod to do, and they did a smash up job. What the Obama administration should have done immediately following the raid was to seek advice from the MILITARY ADVISORS or FED LAW ENFORCEMENT officials, like the Joint Chiefs or the FBI on exactly how to put the information out. I say this because the military guys and the law enforcement types know intrinsically how these things occur, and that you should never open your mouth until you have debriefed the people who were there.

The continual morphing of the raid story is not the result of many mistakes or problems, it is the result of just one small oversight that snowballed. Once the administration folks started talking, they just could not shut up without the possibility of looking dumb, so they are now forced to clarify and obfuscate.

To tell the truth, it is not too late for Obama first tell his administration to STFU, and then come out and say that until the raid team has been fully debriefed, there will be no more comments from the White House so as to avoid confusion and speculation. I'll bet if he just simoply asked Mullen or Petraeus how to proceed, they would advise exactly that.

As an aside, I can understand that the WH would not initially seek the advice of the military on how to release the info (after all, everyone in the WH is smarter than all those knuckledragging military types, right?), but I think that this whole episode has been a teaching moment for Obama's staff. Now we'll see if they learn from it, because the intel we took from that house is bound to lead to some more really cool stuff. Wouldn't be suprised at all to see Al Zawahiri get his in the near future.

It's funny- the story is always hard to get right.

On 9/11- BBC News reported that WTC building 7 had collapsed 20 minutes before it actually had:

It's a pretty amazing coincidence to choose a building that will be falling down out of many that surround the WTC Complex (considering no steel skyscraper had fallen from fire before in history)- unless of course you're reading a script that was planned beforehand and they gave you your lines too early.
