The plan was in place for months. It wasn't like anyone was sitting there giving the SEALS a play-by-play of what to do. "Next, you're going to need to make a right into the hallway." They knew what they were doing. They had been practicing it for months. The last thing they needed was Obama or anyone else telling them to lock the door and turn out the lights on the way out.

This whole thread is nothing but blind speculation on both sides at this point and therefore a useless waste of space.

Once Obama is gone and/or the cabinet members are out of their seats, they will talk. ESPECIALLY if the rumors of Obama going soft are true. There's no real loyalty between Clinton and Obama, so if he was wishy washy she'll talk about it one day. If Obama was on top of things, she'll say that, too.

Then, someone will bump this thread and somebody is going to look stupid.

All this being said, Bush took a lot of criticism from the same people who are now defending Obama on what are essentially the same theme. It's just political hackery and has nothing to do with substantive knowledge.

Obama is also the guy that voted "present" on things because he was too much of a puss to make a decision and stand by it. So it does fit the image that many have of him as being a lightweight.

Could this be CYA for someone? Panetta, Gates, Hillary, Jarrett? Had this gone down wrong would Hillary have used this as a partial excuse to primary Obama? Was Jarett using this as a CYA?
