Crude oil dropped the most in almost three weeks after the U.S. said al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan and a report showed U.S. manufacturing cooled in April.

Oil tumbled as much as 2.7 percent after President Barack Obama said U.S. forces killed bin Laden yesterday. Brent oil fell the most in seven weeks on the reports. The Institute for Supply Management’s manufacturing index for the U.S. declined last month and a Chinese manufacturing index d more than forecast.

“The market is taking some of the risk premium out of it,” said Tom Bentz, a broker with BNP Paribas Commodity Futures Inc. in New York.

Obama is walking alright...walking us right into 40% higher unemployment, 100% increase in the price of gasoline, $4 Trillion+ more debt, growing the size of government by a factor of 2, monetizing the debt at a record pace, record setting food prices, etc, etc, etc, all since he won the election 2.5 years ago.

He earned a nice little feather in his cap yesterday, but that will soon be forgotten the next time the average American fills up their gas tank, or goes and buys a gallon of milk.

Never said we should not conduct specific operations in other countries...in fact I'd rely more on our special operations guys. In case you didn't notice (the important things do seem to slip by you), our boys didn't stay in the suburb of Osama's compound to try to build a democracy. They got in, got the job done, and they got out.

I am against sending tens of thousands of foot soldiers into a prolonged useless war against a bunch of tribal dumbasses who don't have a problem with the US. You, on the other hand, want us in Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and anywhere else Obama says we should be.

And yes, many Liberals did want to release the prisoners...and they didn't want us asking questions and being meanies. Too bad your memory is failing.
