Who is this girl? I may be in love.

Don't tell my wife.

As for Ranger, I think he could be a blue ho if he really want to be.

I'm not sure of the backstory, but she's a VMI cheerleader putting some serious moves on a "The Citadel" football player. ;)

Her name is Carrie McAtee. The cadet had swiped a team flag.

There was actually a YouTube video of the incident that generated over 100K hits immediately afterward, but it seems to have been removed. There's another VMI cheerleader incident, but it goes way too fast to see if it's the one in question, and really starts in the middle of the fracas.

Im impressed with the list of games considered good games. Of course there are going to be a lot of dogs, but some of those FCS schools may have the same determination and will as NDSU in carrying out their dreams for an upset. Most schools in the FCS dont.

Only a handful are successful regularly against the FBS. After all there is a large scholarship advantage and for a lot of FCS programs they just arent able to attract the talent needed to compete at that level. So its more than just numbers. On the other hand some programs in the FCS are able to attract the talent and organize it into an effective football team seemingly defying all odds in their ability to defeat these teams.

With the record NDSU has put together against the BCS schools from the nations major conferences and the 2-0 against the MAC there is little wonder why The BISON are included in the good FCS/FBS match-ups. The BISON have thrust themselves onto the national scene in both divisions and now with the 4th Dynasty will be "The Story" for the coming decade.

Im keeping a list of the FCS fan excuses for NDSU FBS wins and for their own teams performance against THE BISON:

1) They arent very good
2) Blizzard
3) we had too many underclassman
4) we had too many injuries
5) expanded playoff field
6) we dont travel well especially on a long trip to Fargo
7) too many fumbles

Win or lose they make excuses.

Fact is NDSU has now gone from the FBS/FCS ridiculous schedule list to one of the games of national importance in just one year. The win over BCS and Big 12 Charter Member the Kansas Jayhawks did that. Its just another bench-mark showing us that NDSU has entered the 4th Dynasty of BISON FOOTBALL. The NDSU Football Conglomerate is busy at work consolidating the vast wealth, influence and power it has accumulated over the years and will use to dominate this division during the 4th BISON Dynasty.

So dont put a lot of stock into these types of articles. Use the NDSU BISON as your guide and your example on how to develop and maintain a successful FCS program and your school too may one day enjoy NDSU type SUCCESS!

Good luck to you all!!

The problem here is that we're looking at this relatively straight: a good game is a good game. The author, however, is probably looking at this from an elitist perspective, such that a "good FCS game" is one where the FCS team is on the wrong end of a blowout, the way it's "supposed" to be. Games like App over Michigan, Liberty over Ball State, etc, are "bad" games, if not disasters, and if there's even a whiff of a possibility of that happening, buy your way out of it, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

Yes, that's the same way WE look at D-II games. I'm not sure where to draw the line. I certainly wouldn't want Sac to play NMHU, but Grand Valley would be a good test. The problem is that if it's too close, we're in trouble in the polls because they're "D-II."

Just amazed by the arrogance. That is saying a great deal coming from a military school. Charlestonian, and Jewish person. i thought for sure that was the "holy trinity of arrogance"... guess I was mistaken (for the 1st time ever in my life  ).

Actually it's the second, because you've mistaken his stupidity for arrogance. Arrogant people generally know what they're talking about. There's a difference. :thumb:

The thing that sucks about this whole deal is that you can't even talk about ndsu on this board anymore because jbb will come up with something even more ridiculous every time. It was kinda funny for a little while, but has become annoying.

I like our chances at minnesota. Minnesota will be better under Kill. However, its gonna take him a couple of years to turn around Brewsters mess.

I give credit to our ad in scheduling FBS games that are winnable. One of the biggest reasons for our 4-3 record against FBS teams is the teams we've played and our style of play. We generally don't get cute with them and try to pound the ball and not turn it over. It helps NDSU doesn't need the big payday get your ass pounded checks from the top 25 schools that some fcs schools need.

I like your guys' chances too. I don't know if Idaho or the rest of the WAC (sans Nevada) is scared to play us, but I wish we could get some of the easier FBS teams on the schedule. Although I do recall SJSU in 2005, a game which we should've won but didn't put away.

I do want to thank you though for having JBB. Sure makes having BF that much easier. And unlike JaBBer, BF was right in his ridiculous claims. :)

The midwest region is a good place to play. NDSU is scheduling teams that we are competitive with. The point about turnovers is well taken. The Iowa state game was lost on turnovers but a turnover is just a mistake. To win these games mistakes have to be few and far between. Mistake free is the key. The Wyoming loss certainly pointed that out with the two dropped passes.

Minnesota, Iowa State, Wyoming, Kansas and the Mac squads all matched up well with NDSU. There were plenty of FCS teams that wouldn't have matched up well. Thats one thing to be remembered. NDSU has a good program able to compete with those teams at least for 1 week out of the year. They are my favorite games because we have been competitive. Its not much fun to watch your team go down in a game they shouldnt be playing. NDSUs scheduling and the quality of the team we put on the field have been in sync.

Ps. the photo is the 2012 mercury marquee. too bad they pulled the plug. It would have been a world class car in design and performance, just like the the BISON football team seems to be this year.

Look at you 4: mjh, screamineagle, mgbison and ttb  Get back on topic. this is about FCS vs FBS, worst games. You 4 are acting like children. Image For all I know you just might be.

The point about playing mistake free football, which includes turnovers, is critical to a win against FBS teams that routinely come in with a stronger bench and more depth. The FCS players are going to be up against it as the game wears on. A lot of these games that turn out to be close are won by the FBS in the 4th. If they get the benefit of an extra play and better field position or the FCS team loses a good play and has field position diminished, by penalty or mistake, that can be the margin of victory.

Actually thats the case against any 2 teams that are equally matched. NDSU is certainly a good team representing a strong program, but they are not the only team at this level in the division. A fumble, a bad call or two, a mistake, these are all game changers when equally matched teams collide on the grid-iron.

What we like to see is a clean game with no mistakes in execution and no injuries. A game decided by the skill and execution of the players and the deployment of a well designed game plan. Often the fates intervene and things don't turn out that way but, none-the-less, there are always winners and losers.

The FBS feels entitled to a win in these games and their supporters and fluffers are going to be particularly resentful when they believe the FCS team is particularly over-matched. When the upset occurs the FCS doesn't often win any respect. Its blown off as the 1-in a million any given saturday type thing. You cant get away from that. Any of those FCS teams on that list can win. NDSU proved that last year.
