Im not so sure about that. The main stream left wing press is protecting this president. There is his "real estate" deal in Chicago, completely criminal but unreported. There are the constitutional issues and the states rights issues that he is violating, in several cases against court order. There are the associations with unsavory elements from the far left including Bill Ayers, Rev. Write and other socialist/communists in his close advisory staff. A few have been outed, but no big deal has been made and none will be.

The socialist left as represented in the media and the major media outlets have closed ranks around this man. The stories are out there but you dont see them splashed across the front pages as you did when they destroyed President Bush for 8 years, often with untrue reports that were later quietly retracted. They are doing the same with Gov Palin as well.

Everything this man campaigned on was a lie. He is everything he says he isnt and does everything he says he wont. There is no reason to believe he is honest on this issue, especially with evidence mounting and his refusal to simply show the birth certificate.

Az. is now considering a law that will require all candidates for president to show a genuine birth certificate. By that time he will probably have one, real or counterfeit who knows, but his reluctance to produce it is certainly confusing and leads to the assumption that if one does appear it wont be real.

If W can be Prez with a Dishonorable Discharge, I couldn't care less where Obama was born.

It’s a shame that Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin a doctor and 18 year veteran didn’t realize that Obama had released his birth certificate when he refused to ship out for his second tour in Afghanistan.

My experience with military docs and dentists over in Iraq leads me to not have a lot of sympathy for this guy. If I was playing the odds, I'd say he was just looking for a convenient excuse.

I can remember sitting in a briefing at Fort Bliss back in 2004 prior to flying over. There were a bunch of Army truck drivers (help me out Army guys... is that 49 Bravos?) and then there was a group of Navy and Air Force doctors sitting beside me. The truck drivers were all sitting directly in front of us, right where they could hear this Navy O-6 pissing and bitching about how this deployment was going to hurt his practice. The real kicker was that the military shortened the deployments for professional jobs like doctors. I think this guy was going for something like 4 months. 4 MONTHS! Those soldiers right in front of him were not only going for what would wind up being more than a year, but they were going to be shot at and blown up while this a$$hole was going to be sitting pretty in the IZ or some other well protected FOB and would never even SEE outside the wire.

To make things even more infuriating, this jacka$$ essentially had his med school bills mostly paid off by the Navy, and he's moaning about having to actually go do some service. Those truck drivers, all being E-2s up to E-4s obviously couldn't say anything to the guy, but a buddy of mine sitting with us piped up and told the guy to shut the fvck up until he gets out of the meeting and then he could piss and moan about not being able to visit the country club for a few months all he wanted. It was funny as hell because this guy glared over at Mike thinking he was going to see some military guy of a lower rank, and it turned out to be a civilian cop. There were about 15 of us glaring back at him and he didn't say another word.
