BisonH8tr says hate is the sincerest form of flattery?

Post by JBB »

Over on suesports.com they are wondering why all the hate. Apparently there was a lot of degrogatory calls about UND coming into a regional sports talk show this afternoon.

I had to laugh when I read what one nickelhead, calling himself BisonH8ter had to say:
"Hate" is the best form of flattery. I won back to back state championships in baseball and everywhere our team went we got booed and yelled at by fans from the other cities. Music to my ears. Its them letting you know that your better than them.
Apparently he is in awe of NDSU?

All the self indulgent flatulence found in the thread aside, you get what you give.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

JBB, you hate on UND more than anyone else on these message boards. Does that mean you are in awe of UND? I'm just curious if the same thing goes for everyone else. :coffee:

Hey Thunderingherd, I dont hate UND. I do speak frankly about them and the truth is often not flattering. Heck, just a week or two ago I mentioned on AGS what a hate filled organization UND was underscoring their nickname problems and what is being projected by their fan base toward the American Indian and anybody else that thinks they are in the wrong. That was frank talk. The real haters then came out of the woodwork and like true died-in-the-wool liberal cooks do when they have nothing else, began the personal attacks resulting in some kind of warning from the mods.

Now we see at least 2 threads on suesports.com concerned about why people hate them so much. Is that because of the alleged hate you claim I have, or is it something else?

Last summer I documented the phenomena. I had a lot of fun using what the suzie posters were saying to show how they echo my own criticisms of the program, team and institution. Wow, they went nutz! Were they parroting my positions because of the alleged hate you say I have or was it something more fundamental and true about their program?

Now we have the icon of haters, Bisonh8ter, explaining how hate is a form of flattery, and he hated on NDSU with nothing but dribble starting with his nick. If he is correct he is at best disingenuous. You may buy into his convoluted theory, I dont, but if you do I can only conclude you to have checked your good judgement at the door.

Same with the turf and cowbells. Who cares? The turf gave the Eagles an advantage that is documented by the string of bad calls that gave them a winning edge in an evenly matched game they otherwise would have lost. I was critical of the officiating and the turf, still am. Now there is serious talk in the NCAA to stop the colored turf none-sense. Is that because of me and the alleged hating of the turf or is it something else?

As far as the noisemakers go: if they want to cheat that is their business. I dont think its about alleged hate, its about character of their program and fans.

Stupid is as stupid does and you do stupid:
some say it was tough to see where the ball came out against the red turf.
http://bisonmedia.areavoices.com/
Unbeknost to them they bought themselves an advantage with that turf and they just thought they wanted to be noticed. Well, the NCAA has noticed and that kind of distinction is going to be ruled out of the game. It confuses simple minds like bill fette's. This type of thing must be stopped.

The turf is ugly, but the turf itself didn't score on us in the last minute of regulation to tie it up. :ohno:

No, I agree 100% Thundering Herd, the turf did not score on us. The entire game was both the best and worst of what FCS football has to offer. You can take one viewpoint or the other but I like to think it was a great game that was not decisive because of the controversy surrounding it. Thats just the way it is. EWU got the spoils of victory and The NDSU BISON got the motivation and confidence of knowing they are every bit as good as the National Champions.

The "hype" is mostly from JBB and Lakes on this site....

Even though there are some real turds over on BV, they do seem to get policed by the majority of the posters that are pretty rational/reasonable folks.

The BISON will stack up very well. The defense will be among the best in the division as will the running game. The passing attack should be average which should be enough. The margin of victory of our opponents last year was 8 pts. That was razor thin. The average margin of victory was 20 or so. Superior coaching, excellent recruiting, superb game planning and top notch preparation will all contribute to what is starting to stack up as a stellar season.
Contrary to the "expert" opinions of the "sophisticated" fans we find coming from the peanut gallery, The hype as you call it is almost universal. The BISON are solid picks to win the MVFC (see the thread and poll on this site) and I expect will also get hyped by the coaches and major national media with very high pre season rankings. They are already a top 10 team which is of some note. Lakes and myself are only stating the obvious.
Bille fette has yet to make his picks known. He will have to review the tape before he makes the wrong call! A perfect reverse barometer!

There arent any BISON fans on this site. We have a couple of pet boys nodding and getting pats on the head for being "good fans" and then we have the self proclaimed experts with their sophisticated outlook on the games. That leaves myself and Lakes as the experts to be reckoned with.

Just as an aside:

Bisonator has to be the smartest NDSU fan in the country. If you ask him he will tell you how high his IQ is! :notworthy: I think there might be some smarter BISON fans in India though.

So being "good fans" means not agreeing with your crazy, half **** ideas about football and NDSU. Then yes a lot of people are "good fans." However, you still try to persuade people that "real" Bison fans are complete idiots. I have nothing against you personally, but how you carry yourself most of the time is a disgrace to TRUE Bison fans everywhere. There's a HUGE difference between showing your school pride and being an ignorant moron.

Really?
Bisonator wrote:I found it fascinating that star2shitty over on the SS board seems to be increasingly infactuated in the concept of current Summit League schools (that are not NDSU) starting a mass exodus from the conference and the Summit replacing them with 7th-rate DII move-ups like Lindenwood and Drury (he said this in one of his recent posts).

He and JBB are a lot like each other once you really think about it. He's UND's version of JBB. Except JBB tends to talk in more in platitudes, and star tends more to technically plan out whacky conspiracy theory-like scenarios that don't come true.

He's batting close to .000 when it comes to his little conference realignment theories (remember the rant he went on in 2003 about SDSU eventually moving back to DII and No. Colorado going to the Summit?? None of it came true), so I don't take almost anything he says even remotely seriously.

Well Eaglesfootball, there is a chance they wont win the National Championship, or even the MVFC title for that matter. Nobody saw the internal problems that beset the team going into 2008. That was a disappointing season too, and it wasnt until that summer that it all came out in the open.

The team was deeply divided with a bunch of hooligans and the others committed to BISON football. All were good players but the bad apples spoiled the barrel. Thats behind us now.

If the Herd runs into to rough waters BV will implode, a lot of fans will have fun at my expense, some Bison fans will go on and on about me making the program look bad and how its my fault, other fans from the MVFC and beyond will be relieved beyond belief and life will go on.

Right now it looks good from where Im sitting and Ive been on top and out in front of BISON FOOTBALL for years. Good bison fans were telling me last summer that I was crazy predicting a successful season. That the team was in place to establish a dynasty. They said I was making the fan base look bad, I didnt know what I was talking about and it was foolish to publish updates all summer teaching them how the Herd was going to topple the mighty Big 12 Charter Member Kansas Jayhawks.

Sit back and relax. Take it from me so it wont be suprizin when you see The BISON ARE RIZEN!

ndsu had a good team this season for sure. they didnt seem too great early in the season but definitely came on strong the last few games to get into the playoffs and make some noise there. i can see why you and others would be optimistic although each season is its own. i really have no idea what to expect from next year. i think we have the talent returning to contend for a conference title and make some noise in the play offs but i suppose itll all hing upon how well we handle this level of success which has never happened to the program before.

Nice post. Each season is its own. A promising outlook can turn to catastrophe in the blink of an eye.

For the BISON I have been watching the progression. The 3-8 season was a disaster in the win/loss column but was impressive if you watched the individual players.

Last season showed promise early with the win over BCS Kansas, but saw some low moments with the team finally coming together.

This year we are seeing most of those players return and grow in their positions and skill but the big addition is talented depth. The team appears loaded and ready to go. What the fates will serve up I dont know but everything seems in place to have another successful year.
