Found out yesterday that my friend bought me a ticket to the Nat's/Braves home opener tomorrow afternoon. Aw shucks, looks like I'm going to have to skip out on work and go drink all day.
Good chance of a rainout though...

My boss is in Costa Rica right now without access to e-mail/phone. Oh, and I have access to his e-mails anyways, so I'll just go ahead and delete that one you sent...grizzaholic wrote:So you get to drink more...and still not go to work.bandl wrote: Exactly.

Yeah, they completely effed up the forecast AGAIN this week. As of yesterday, tomorrow was supposed to be 52 and sunny and Friday 47 and rain. As of this morning, they've flip-flopped the two. I had toyed with going tomorrow, but defintely not now.bandl wrote:Exactly.grizzaholic wrote:

Washingtonpost.com dudes say, meh, won't be too bad, maybe some mist/light showers. Accuweather says morning showers. Weather.com says tornados and hurricanes.

Teams north of the Mason-Dixon line should be on the road until April 15th.

1. Baltimore and Washington are south of the M-D line...bluehenbillk wrote:Teams north of the Mason-Dixon line should be on the road until April 15th.
2. even with that - there aren't enough teams south of the line to complete the schedule...
but i generally agree with the point - the Twins shouldn't have a home game until the 15th.

What is stupid is that the Dbacks, with a domed-stadium, always start the year on the road, this year no exception.
The Dbacks open IN COLORADO, where luckily the rain and 40degree weather is supposed to hold off until Monday, after the Dbacks are gone - to CHICAGO, where the showers and 40-degree weather will be.
Meanwhile, Phoenix forecast is for temps in the 90's,,,

Re: MLB 2011
makes no sense - they should front and backload the schedule in phoenix - and have them playing in denver or chicago in the summerdbackjon wrote:TwinTownBisonFan wrote:

This must be the thread where you discuss the 25 or so teams with no shot at winning the World Series. Shoot me a PM if anything interesting happens here during the season and I'll check back in.
