Oh please. I've been on the FCS message board circuit since 2006 (coincidentally, right when NDSU fans became outrageously annoying), and I know for a fact that he isn't the only one. I probably couldn't count all the obnoxious NDSU fans I've seen over the years.

The old ones and new ones will come out of the woodwork over the next few weeks and months until the season starts. It's a universal law of nature:

The relative success of the NDSU football team is directly proportional to the number of dickhead NDSU fans that come on message boards.

So far you've been a fine example of a good NDSU fan that doesn't have his head up his ass, so kudos.

But please don't act like JBB is the only one. Everyone here can pretty much tell you that's a load of crap. :tothehand:

Of course they are anonymous but they still have emotional feelings and that is reflected in the voting.
Seems like you're making some kind of judgment there.

Slostang is a good man and a good fan so how would my going all slostang be seen as anything other than positive? Were you being all judgmental on him as well?

You are a very, very confused man aren't you brother?

I wish you well JBB, it's gotta be tough. :thumb:
Good man, good fan? I dont think Im confused at all. For me its about football, having some fun. Sloboil is just a gee awe with some issues.

No judgment on the sloboil. Thats a term he earned. The blockhead is everything I say he is. On the other hand he may be everything you say he is too. There are many separate realities.

He is a good man? Why because he agrees with everybody on everything and drinks a lot of beer? Be friends with him all you want, it sure doesnt affect me either way.

No judgment,no dispersions, he earned my dislike for him through his own vengeance and Im not going to sit back and take his crap, I tried that. He has shown me enough.

Villanova was out of gas, Delaware was a paper Tiger. NDSU was hot and the best team my crew had seen all season. They were clearly EWU's biggest obstacle to winning the championship and therefore EWU's biggest win.

I see you are still filled with hate and just wont let it go. I feel sad for you JBB. BTW, I do not agree with everybody. I can not think of one thing I agree with you on. You certainly EARNED my dislike for you with all of your hate filled rants. I call you on them and you have the balls to say I am intolerant when in fact it is you who is intolerant. Sad, really sad.

Back to the issue. I would say a win over the defending National Champion was much bigger than a win over a team that tied for 2nd to last in their conference and was the last team in the playoffs.

I'd say UM for some of the reasons mentioned above, but also because it assured that EWU wouldn't have to face the Griz again in Missoula in the playoffs.

If UM had beaten EWU in the regular season (and they very nearly did, losing on a field goal with 4 seconds left), the Griz would have made the playoffs, and would have gotten home-field over EWU in anything past the first round because the loss to the Griz would have taken EWU out of the running for a seed (and Montana would have easily outbid them for the game). There's a decent chance they would have been in the same bracket. That's not to say that the Griz would have gotten out of the first round with last year's team, by any stretch, but a win over EWU might have helped UM's fragile team psyche last year; who knows?

And, just beating the Griz is a big win for anyone in the BSC (although EWU has been better at it than any other BSC team in recent years).

Nova was hotter.

Wins over Delaware, SFA (Payton winner Moses), and App State, all on the road. And we did it without TJ.

That 90 yard TD drive though was epic.
Villanova was, but you could tell from the start (after the kickoff return) that Villanova was flat. North Dakota brought much more of an A game.

I disagree. Our defense was flat if anything, and our offense kept turning the ball over (against NDSU). That was a slop fest.

I think I'll have to agree with that.

And at the risk of upsetting some ECB sensibilities I would say that Montana, MSU, NAU, Weber, SAC, SUU, NDSU, Nova, and UD all seemed vey close in regards to size, talent, and athleticism. I think that while the Griz were down a little this year, the Big Sky as a whole was very tough.

That's the advantage you have making a run - you get to observe and compare a bunch of really good teams. :thumb:

This.

We pretty much picked the worst year ever to suck. The rest of the Big Sky really upped its game this last season. Let's hope that continues. :thumb:

I dont know if i would say Montana sucked this year. I DEF WOULDN'T SAY THAT. I will say that Cal Poly is always tough @home when facing a big sky team. I would say that EASTERN WASHINGTON knew that beating UM was key to a BSChampionship gave it all they had. THE ONLY GAME i saw that look liked a bad UM team was against MSU. Then MSU turns around and gets spanked by NDSU. So IMHO i would say that UM was better than MSU but UM just didnt show up to play that day. I believe if UM had played NDSU.. UM wins & we have a UM-EWU rematch @ WGS.

We certainly weren't good by Montana standards, but I guess that's a fair assessment. We honestly looked a lot worse in the WSU game than in the MSU game. We were owning the Bobcats in the second half, but couldn't get it done when it mattered (two turnovers inside the 5, 3 inside their territory), whereas Weber was running down our throats in the second half, and we couldn't stop them for shit. That final game kind of epitomized our season, though.

Wasted talent, wasted chances, and fumbling the season away. :ohno:

Its one thing to win at home, but completely different when you do it on the road. :thumb:
