be nice if Junior could pull his head from his ass and pull off a win. But I too think Gordon will win.93henfan wrote:Not a bad choice. I think it'll be a Hendrick car.bluehenbillk wrote:I'm going with the Rainbow Warrior on Sunday!!

Junior wins the pole, then crashes during practice & now starts at the back.

I want to see Gordan win one more championship before he is all said and one.
Other than Jr, I can't think of a better guy to win the 500 on the 10th year anniversary of The Intimidator's death.

If it were televised, I'd be watching the Drive4COPD 300 19 FEB at Daytona. Gotta root for the #7 car!!!

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Daytona 500
I'm predicting a Junior win, despite starting in the back. Hell, it seems to work for Jimmy Johnson. Personally, other than Junior (who I've oddly started to like more since he's sucked) I'd like to see Smoke take the checkered flag. I really hope it's not Jeffy or Kyle Busch. I've been to the 500 twice, and it's an awesome event to go to.UNHWildCats wrote:be nice if Junior could pull his head from his ass and pull off a win. But I too think Gordon will win.93henfan wrote:

Re: Daytona 500
Sounds like our rooting interests are pretty similar, other than the fact I've been a Junior fan all along. If Junior has no chance, which seems to have been the case most of the time the past several seasons, I'll pull for Tony Stewart. Gordon has grown on me a lot over the years too. I guess the fact that he was ripped off more than anyone else by the switch to the chase format is part of the reason. The guy would likely have six championships by now without the chase and be looking to tie the King and 3 for tops with seven cups. Instead, we have perhaps the most boring driver and team in NASCAR history going for six in a row.ASUMountaineer wrote:I'm predicting a Junior win, despite starting in the back. I guess I'll go ahead and narrow my previous selection to Junior. Junior takes his second Great American Race on Sunday.

Yeah, I don't mind Jeff as much now. I also pull for Brad Keselowski for four reasons: 1) He is from Michigan, 2) He drives a Dodge, 3) He hates Carl Edwards, and 4) Miller Lite is his sponsor.93henfan wrote:Sounds like our rooting interests are pretty similar, other than the fact I've been a Junior fan all along. Re: Daytona 500
its of little consolation to Gordon, but atleast with Johnson winning those 5 titles Gordon can claim 9 total Championships since he is the owner of record for the #4893henfan wrote:Sounds like our rooting interests are pretty similar, other than the fact I've been a Junior fan all along. Re: Daytona 500
Elliot Sadler!
Okay... so he won't do anything. He'll probably lead at some point then blow a tire/engine/etc and finish in 30-somethingth.
I tend to root for Kyle Busch, as well, but I don't see him winning, either. I like McMurray, and wouldn't mind watching him win again.

I had too many things going on today to hit a pizza joint to watch the race, but I'm happy that my #7 car finished 14th, a NASCAR career best. I can't wait 'till IRL starts, so #7 can be back to Top Ten averages and challenging for wins.

Elliott Sadler no longer races in Sprint Cup. Strictly Nationwide this year.ToTheLeft wrote:Elliot Sadler!

I was always a Sadler fan. I think he got into a bad situation at Evernham/Gilette/RPM. He'll probably do ok racing in Busch (can't call it Nationwide) this season.ToTheLeft wrote:Elliot Sadler!

I've lost track of how many times they've changed the names of the various series, so I just caved and call them the right thing nowadays.

Isn't there a hot chick driver I can root for?
These signatures have a 500 character limit?
What if I have more personalities than that?

Kyle Busch is about as close as you're going to get to something with a vagina in Sprint Cup.Cluck U wrote:Isn't there a hot chick driver I can root for?
Check Maryeve Dufault in NASCAR ARCA. Not too shabby.
