In lacrosse the computers are 100% accurate.
I like how it defaults to alphabetical order for those who have started.

I've heard reports of how the Sirens dominate NFL teams. The Sacred City should not be taken lightly, despite the manure spread by The Bee.

Hopkins gets home-cooking regardless of where they play. Two goals negated. :ohno: Towson loses 10-6.

Who's happier in this picture? The player or the ref?

Hens barely get by Marist... not holding out much hope against Hopkins tomorrow. :?

The three time defending MCLA National Champions (10 times CCLA champions since 1999, every year but 04 and 06) and number 1 ranked Michigan Wolverines opened their season with a 26-6 thrashing of Florida.

Michigan does not compete in the NCAA league for lacrosse. They compete in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). From reading the game story, it sounds like the Hens dominated Marist from the start and then put it on cruise. Not sure how much a factor the gail-force winds were either.

We'll probably keep it close for three quarters against Hopkins and then their talent will squash us, sort of like in the 07 Final Four.

I thought about going up there tomorrow night but I see the forecast of gametime temps in the 20s and WC in the teens. No thanks, especially with the free video on UD's site.

That poll sucks just like every other poll. TXST was one of the top 16 last year (won TX league and went to nationals) and beat Texas twice to get there. So far 3-0 and we get ranked below them? What a crock.

Hens lose to the BlueGays, 18-5.
It was on the radio as I was driving home. 3 stalling callson Delaware. SMFH. Hopkins held the ball for 5 minutes at the beginning of the 4th quarter against Towson. Both assistant refs stood staring at the head ref for 3mintues. No call. NCAAlax is a fucking joke when JHU is on the field.

Having won the LSA (Lone Star Alliance) last year we got seeded 16th at Nationals and got taken to the woodshed by Michigan in round 1

We have Florida @ home on March 7. They just dropped from 13 to 18, we are now 17th. Will be a good test, I think. After that we have our California swing vs. #10 Cal Poly, Claremont and # 21 Loyola Marymount

(UT is still ahead of us :x )

Nope - UD got their butts whooped last night. Team has a ways to go to challenge in the CAA from here.

The #11 UMass men's lacrosse team moved to 3-0 with a solid 11-9 win over #13 Ohio State on Saturday at Garber Field. Four different Minutemen scored two goals including freshman Connor Mooney, who scored the first two goals of his career in the final five minutes to seal the win

Delaware moves to 4-1 with an overtime win over Bellarmine.

I had to luck up what tf Bellarmine was. Apparently it's a Catholic joint out of Louisville, KY.

Towson lost to Loyola 3-2, WTF? Score at halftime was 1-1. I've never heard of such a low scoring game.

I caught a little bit of the game on the intarweb. We stormed out to a big early lead (6-2 IIRC) and then got complacent.

Our defense is going to kill us. Pretty mediocre team this year. Not a CAA challenger, IMHO.

We'll see - still almost 4 weeks until the CAA season starts in earnest. Granted, the Hens have looked lackluster so far, but at least it's a 4-1 lackluster start. Still too early to bail on this team - basically preseason right now.

I guess they could be CAA competitive, but they clearly aren't playoff contenders as evidenced by the JHU shellacking. 4-1 versus JHU and the little sisters of the poor is about right. March will be a good barometer (@danefan u, @ stony b, hofstra, and Andy U). Those teams are all closer to our level than anyone we've played yet.

Hofstra just beat Princeton. I think they are the team to win the CAA this year..

So it's just the one bad game against Hopkins, a top 10 team that we've never beaten before, even in our good years, that has you convinced we have no shot at the CAA title? Like you said, there are plenty of games coming up that will probably be much better barometers of what kind of team we have. JHU was just one game - plenty more to come and the CAA season itself is still far off in the distance.

Bellarmine is D-II, but has D-I Lacrosse. It looks like their Lacrosse program started in 2004 so how did they get away with being D-I?

I thought schools like Hopkins and Hobart were allowed to play D-I lax and all other sports at a different level because they were grandfathered years ago.
