YSU's biggest critic is Paladin on the YSU message boards. Here is his analysis:
For Paladin to say that, it must be an impressive class! YSU fans hate this guy for his ignorant remarks about YSU sports, so for him to say anything positive is unreal! The final push sees 10 Jucos signed . This is the finest Jucos class I've seen in the 31 years I have watched YSU football. Some players from last year just got replaced and won't make the field much. The ability level here is highly improved. The Frosh are as expected -- some very good players who will be stars, some who won't play till they are Juniors, some who are projects and may not work out at all and some I don't see why they were signed as most won't play here if at all .Many of the out of state players are real solid, as are several of the Ohio players. The final push added to the D with very good players. Expect to see new Safties next year , lots of depth at LB & DE. In fact, depth improves overall teamwise, a first in a long number of years. With back to back good recruit classes, expect to see YSU improve immediately next year.In fact, a winning record. And in the following years, get ready for playoffs. The athletic ability level is back for playoffs. Expect to see some current players leave as many will not be able to compete at the higher athletic level coming in. If another good class comes next year, expect to see YSU in the playoffs often. The talent is there for playoff runs. No B.S.
I'm a critic and I'm impressed. Great job, Wolf !!!
