No way. Payne Stewart was my favorite golfer of all time, but he's the only guy that could pull that one off (at least since 1939).

Sorry I chose the wrong word. Failed again. :ohno:

The fact of it is that is why they began to be called America's Team. It was a nickname given to them that stuck. It isn't something meant to be passed around. Same as any other nickname.
all that matters is they aren't America's team, nor is Pittsburgh or Green Bay or any other.

Sorry about diverting the hijack but in response to the original topic...It is the Steelers no matter what other teams want to call themselves or have been called.

There are only a couple of teams that have a real grass roots type of thing across the whole county like Pittsburgh and then maybe also include Green Bay in there with having "Steeler Bars" in almost every community.

That shit doesn't happen for Dallas or any other team out there but GB or Pittsburgh. If a team like Dallas goes on a run for a couple of years then the fans all come back and do there stupid shit but GB and Pittsburgh fans do there stupid shit all the time and never go away...win or lose.

If I told anybody on here from the Missoula area I was gonna buy them beer all night at the Cowboy's bar they wouldn't have a fucking clue where to go. If I told the same group I was buying beers at the Steeler Bar I would be much poorer after that night.

Was out with a friend in a place in Denver when the Steelers were playing a night game a couple years back.

The place was packed with steeler jersey wearing partiers, right there in Denver.

I have no idea what bar in town is the Steeler bar. :( No beers for me.

I still maintain that, when it comes to Dallas, America's team has evolved from what it was at the beginning to just their nickname. Not something to be passed to who is most popular, just their nickname. Like how Packer fans are Cheeseheads and just because some other place started producing more cheese or something we wouldn't call their fans Cheeseheads. It would always be the Packer fans.

No. Red's is everybody's no real team affiliation. You must not go to Paradise Falls too much either and so those fucking jersey wearing retards doing their stupid bullshit either. I've walked in there on a Sunday and seen some fucking asshats with their dolls out on the table while wearing some fella's jersey like they were schoolgirls trying to get some piece of clothing for the walk of shame home after the dude used them as a spankerchief and just had to turn around and hit the door.

You work at the courthouse...and have never been to Red's. I'm not using you as a good measure of knowing much about Missoula culture from now on. I don't even know how that could be possible.

Yeah, the time we had lunch there with VictorG was my first trip, and it doesn't look like I'll be spending much time there, at least during football season. Fucking hate the steelers.

I just don't go out very often. I kind of skipped that whole portion of my life. I mean I go for burgers at the Mo Club all the time for lunch, but never been there at more traditional bar hours. Same situation applies to most places with good grub.

Does Red's even serve food? Not like I can go out for a beer at lunch.

Maybe next time you guys have a bar crawl before the football season I will join you. Get me cultured.

They have an all you can eat brunch on Sunday for just under $10 that is pretty good so it's worth a trip if it's not an early game for Pittsburgh or not football season at all.

Oh and I have been to Paradise Falls plenty, I just am smart enough to avoid it on game day.

Sae Wa Dee is attached but not really part of the bar. Friday at 5p I bet 1/2 the courthouse is over there.

Shit - even I have gotten drunk at Red's - after which Polson was strangely insistant that I go with him to AmVets - until I saw Grizo there.

Blasphemer! Nothing is better than a TS egg roll at two in the morning (other than a JJ's special from the Ox  )

Shit never been to the Ox either.

Born and raised in Missoula, never lived anywhere else, and I am a failure when it comes to local places. :ohno:
