Melvin Spears was hired yesterday as the new Alcorn State football coach, he was head coach at Grambling from 2004-06. He also had stops at Texas Southern and Alabama St.

This guy was a good hire for Alcorn and its good for its star recruit from last year QB Brandon Bridge he has a pass happy mentality going back to his days at his previous stops at Grambling,Tx.Southern,Alabama St.If this guy Bridge is as good as I feel he can become Steve McNair all time FCS marks will belong to him.
