I guess this one to me looks REALLY close, as an unopinionated observer.

I thought so too. I actually thought he made it until I saw 89Hen's still pictures noting the movement of the chain. The above view shows the marker and the ball is actually around 60 feet away from the marker so the slightest angle can mess up your viewpoint. Those stills are pretty clear about where the chains moved from.
