Think again. Kalm is a master of the satirical cheap shot:

Kalm is just as complicit in the "bullsh!t" problem articulated by Roger Ailes as most of the lefties* here . He is just more clever and articulate than some of the other zombies.

* To their credit, ttbf and death dealer have been voices of reason from the left and exceptions to the rule on this issue.
No I think you are reading more into that on your own. He states pretty solid analysis there. It is likely that the right wing media feels a little defensive...driven primarily by the attacks but also a little bit by the unfortunate coincidence of the situation. He could have stated exactly like I just did but he has said that already elsewhere I had thought.

I'm walking a mile in conk shoes Nate. Right wing hate rhetoric has been stronger than ever and then a Democratic congresswoman gets taken out. I wouldn't feel responsible but I might lay low for awhile which is what Ailes is suggesting. It's called introspection. You should check it out sometime. :thumb:
Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back, kalm. You haven't taken a single responsible step in a conk shoe on this thread. All you have done is contribute to the big lie and pour fuel on the fire.

You say that "...hate rhetoric has been stronger than ever and then a Democratic congresswoman gets taken out...." ??? Please - that's no better than Krugman, and you know it.

You are better than that. Straighten up and fly right.

Yep. I think of Beck, Hannitty etc as Alpha. They're entertainers, provacateurs. I doubt they seriously wish ill on anyone. In fact, their sincerity is much less believable than Olbermann's.

Roger Ailes has a good analysis but kalm does not. His last post about "coincidence" is not nearly as clever a sleight of hand as he thinks. It is direct, patently false, insulting - meant to intentionally fan the flames with a lie.

A big green smile does not get you off the hook for telling a big lie and pouring fuel on the flames. Just what the hell is this "coincidence" that you are pulling out of your a**? Sarah Palin's map? ...when TWO Dem maps preceded hers? You see that's the BIG LIE. And now you are part of it, buddy.

Yeah, I get it you see it as something I don't. One thing I've noticed is that either side can read whatever they want into about any post even when it isn't necessary. Most people on here have a real easy time speaking exactly what is on their mind and kalm is in that group. So I'm gonna trust there wasn't any hidden message in there on that one.

Of course trying to point out or make something that isn't there out to be real seems like a good way to ratchet up that rhetoric we were talking about I guess.

It's not just the maps is it? The conk rhetoric has been very strong for a number of years. The donk rhetoric has been playing catch up. The conks speak more from a position of strength and aggression and they have more guns. Also, an unfortunate coincidence.

Another big lie. "Donks playing catch" up when Bush was hung and burned in effigy and labeled by elected Dems as "Hitler" for eight years? ...when the DLC and DCCC bulls eye maps PRECEDED the Sarah Palin cross hairs map? Are you insane?

Fox News > Air America, Daily Kos, ThinkProgress, Truthout etc.

Btw, the school board member of which city labeled Bush Hitler? :thumb:

Who said shit about whether kalm was making a good case or not? I don't fucking care that he's not making a case at all about it. A lot of dipshits are making a case that it was related...kalm is not making that case and doing it poorly in your opinion but still not trying to make it nonetheless.

Get it?

If you're trying to hang your hat on the term "unfortunate coincidence" then what the fuck ever. It's real weak but follow that path if you feel like it. If he is making a political case then show me where he is advocating that Palin is responsible in some way. Or maybe you are of the opinion that he is using some very subtle, hell almost subliminal way of getting people to think that this was the cause of the shooting.

I can't even begin to tell ya how weak that hook is. Stick with the minutia cuz it's looking real strong. Oh and the way you are bitching about rhetoric while trying to cultivate is good stuff. :thumb:

Maybe he shouldn't go public with this stuff. That being said, I have a close relative who is an Under Sherriff of a county. He's about as conk as you can get, yet makes no bones about the trouble they've had with the local gun toting, anti-authority Constitution Party knuckleheads in his area. They're probably harmless, but still a pain in the ass to law enforcement, and it's important that they know they're being watched. If they weren't such assholes they would be left alone.
