Anyone know the skinny on alcohol consumption in the parking lot/tailgate area and inside the stadium?

Not a peep about alochol consumption on the Rules and Regs section.kalm wrote:Anyone know the skinny on alcohol consumption in the parking lot/tailgate area and inside the stadium?

Re: Championship Week Events in Frisco
I believe that in-stadium alcohol is only available in suites. I am not 100% certain on that point. I'll have my flask, so I'm not worried. Alcohol during tailgating is permissible. See the regs in the fan guide I posted above.danefan wrote:Not a peep about alochol consumption on the Rules and Regs section.kalm wrote:Anyone know the skinny on alcohol consumption in the parking lot/tailgate area and inside the stadium?

Re: Championship Week Events in Frisco
These Texas bubbas are OK with me. You've gotta love when they preface their tailgating section with:
"Tailgating is a longstanding college football tradition and important component of game day activities."
Looks like booze of any kind and grills are fine in the parking lot. The only restriction is no kegs.

Gas grills only too.
They probably don't want charcoal being dumped all over the parking lot.

I missed that. I thought I read "no open flames, except grills" somewhere. Where did you see "no charcoal"?danefan wrote:Gas grills only too.

It wasn't in the PDF fan guide so its probably worth confirming from someone at the Park.
Re: Championship Week Events in Frisco
I remember going to an Eagles game a few years ago and an inferno erupting in the parking lot. Somebody put away their charcoal grill with coals still in it under their camper.
I could see why a venue would want to discourage that.

It's a little difficult to stuff a Weber charcoal grill in the overhead bin too.danefan wrote:Gas grills only too.

That tailgate/barbeque thing they have planned on the Friday better be sweet, because with no chairs or tables or grills or coolers as a very realistic carryon items, and rental cars typically blowing goats at being tailgate friendly, we're pretty much SOL on the tailgating front
Re: Championship Week Events in Frisco
Fedex a camping stove to your hotel, buy a styrofoam cooler at a mini mart. Problem solved.State Line Liquors wrote:That tailgate/barbeque thing they have planned on the Friday better be sweet, because with no chairs or tables or grills or coolers as a very realistic carryon items, and rental cars typically blowing goats at being tailgate friendly, we're pretty much SOL on the tailgating front

The cooler, I'm with you on, and did in Chatty. Fedexing stuff to myself in another state sounds like more work than I'm interested in.ASUG8 wrote:Fedex a camping stove to your hotel, buy a styrofoam cooler at a mini mart. Hopefully they just roll out 10 or so of those beer trucks with the taps in the side and a bunch of barbeque vendors, and a $hiTTon of picnic tables and porta potties and just turn it into a NASCAR pavillion. I wouldn't mind some of those chicks that man the Skoal tents hanging around either.

Swing by Lowe's and pick up one of these for $24.97. Donate it to Goodwill on your way out of town or just give it to someone walking by. It would be cheaper than shipping to and from Frisco.
