If you spent the last few months knowing you're a Top 10 team at our level ... even with 15 starters lost and a slew of really bad injuries ... and you're struggling for a better than .500 in the CAA ... and you see all the internet knowitalls posting Jackonville State, and SEMO and SFA and (insert MVC team here) and (insert Big Sky team here) and Bethune Cookman in the Top 10 of their poll .... you'd get it.

I'm sure this is the way Delaware felt last year.

Somebody else in the CAA, probably Villanova (unless they move up), will feel the same way next year. They are more than welcome to carry our flag 'in absentia' then.

The fifth place SoCon team took you guys to OT in Richmond, and barely lost to both App. State and Wofford, and they could beat many teams in the final top 25. Yet they haven't been on here cheering on the SoCon teams and I'm not holding my breath waiting for them to wish GSU well. Who knows, though. Maybe the SoCon could benefit from the kind of solidarity that the CAA folks have.

Well that's true. On the other hand, you would have known how much App State was going to be pushed around yesterday and you could have avoided the expense of travelling to Boone to figure it out.

There are plusses and minuses on both sides of the deal.

I just can't get over how amusing this love affair these folks have with their conference is. I prefer rooting for a team, but hey, thats just me. Talk about living vicariously through others. Judging this thing by teams and not conferences, I think Nova will slaughter Eastern, but Delaware may be in trouble. Nova looks way better than Delaware and GSU looks way better than Eastern.

Called a pattern skyfest. Look at CAA's record in playoffs since it formed in 2006.

UNH would have beaten both of the teams in the last quarterfinal tonight, as would William and Mary. If they put UNH in that western bracket they make the semis too. Committee seems to enjoy screwing UNH. WM found itself against a team that played perfectly into its weakest link without having to change a thing. That had not happened all year, including against Delaware and Villanova. GSU is currently destroying Wofford and proving they are the best team in the So Con. Seeing as they did beat Ap State.

Based upon that logic, then W&M is a bigger paper champion than App...too bad for us we had to face Nova's #4 & lucky for W&M they didn't (but were exposed later).... ....& quit smoking the UNH crack. They weren't impressive at all...3 fokking pts?

Did #4 play in that game? It would make a difference. Although, the thing that impressed me most about Nova is their o-line. Hanging with that team is impressive.

That's not a real good argument. EWU has NEVER played Montana in the playoffs. Neither has MSU. We beat Weber a couple years ago, but that's about it (at least in recent years). Since 2000 EWU has lost to UNI, SFA, App State...MSU lost to McNeese, UNI, NDSU, App State; NAU lost to SHSU, Florida Atlantic; Weber lost to Montana & W&M.
